"You told me she was dead" I hear a man shouting at Camila as I walk into the diner, a scared Harmony holding onto Camila's leg, as she runs her fingers through the young girl's hair.

Harmony looks up and sees me and comes running straight at me, I quickly bend down and lift the small child into my arms cradling her against my chest, as she holds me tightly.

"What's going on?" I ask staring back and forth between my girlfriend and a man I have never seen before, but looks oddly familiar.

"She lied to me" The man accuses Camila.

"About what? Your burger topping?" I try joke to calm the situation.

"She told me she dealt with the situation" He says fuming.

That's when I realised who the man was, the reason I recognised him, is because he is the father of the little girl I hold in my arms right now, Jacob.

"She did deal with the situation, she left her home town and her family, and brought a beautiful little girl into the world and raised her into a smart and incredible child, she did deal with the situation, just because she didn't deal with it in the way that you thought, doesn't mean the situation weren't dealt with" I say calmly.

"She should have told me" His face is bright red, I can see that he is trying to keep his calm, but he isn't succeeding very well.

"Don't talk about me like I'm not right here" Camila scoffs.

I can see that she is just as angry, but I can also tell how close she is to bolting this room so she can break down and cry, she doesn't handle confrontation very well.

"She did tell you, when she found you, you told her how you felt about the situation, so she was left to deal with it on her own, and that's what she has been doing, for the past four years"

"She could have told me she had her when I was in here a few weeks ago" Jacob argues.

"What difference would it have made? You didn't want her, I can tell that even now you still don't want her, you even said as such when you and Camila spoke, but even so this is not the time or the place for this to be discussed, my daughter is literally clinging to me right now, I can feel her tears against my neck, she is clearly distressed by this situation, so if you wish to discuss this further, please let me know so I can call someone"

"Mama" Harmony says quietly, lifting her head up to face me, with tears tumbling down her cheeks.

"Hold up a minute, are you really about to tell me that you're a lesbian now? And my daughter is being raised by two women?" Jacob looks between the two of us in disgust.

"Don't, don't you dare start judging my lifestyle and the way I raised MY daughter, because she is mine Jake, she isn't yours, she never was, she never will be" Camila points her finger at him, her cheeks flaring red.

"I have rights you know"

"Are you really going to start threatening us?" I ask my back going up now as I see red.

"Mama" Harmony says softly again, I turn my attention back to her and see fear in her eyes.

"I want to go home" She says quietly, and it completely breaks my heart.

"I'll take you home princess" I say softly and place a kiss on her forehead.

I lift my head to face Camila to see her and Jacob in a heated staring competition, everyone in the diner is watching the two of them, their eyes darting towards me and Harmony every few seconds, as much as I want to shout at them to mind their own business, it's kind of hard for them to do when this is happening directly in front of them, I hear the bell chime above the door and turn my head to see Dinah walking in, her face instantly dropping as she takes in the scene in front of her.
