I See You. (Camren)

Chapter Forty Four

Dinah. 

A huge smile errupts on my face as I see Normani entering into the diner with a single red rose, and a cute cheesy smile on her face. 

"What are you doing here?" I smile holding a coffee pot in my right hand. 

"I came to pick my girl up from work and to ask her if she would come on a picnic with me" Normani grins. 

"Can I go home and get changed first?" I ask looking down at my work outfit. 

"Of course baby, I've got the car parked around the corner" Normani smiles at me. 

"Okay give me a few minutes, my shift is almost over" I smile. 

Normani just nods and walks over to the counter and takes a seat, while I run around the diner and fill up peoples cups of coffee, before making my way into the back room and getting my things, clocking out of my shift. 

"Are you ready?" Normani asks the second I am a few feet away from her. 

"Yeah let's go" I smile. 

Normani just nods standing up from the stall and taking my hand. 

"Oh this is for you" Normani grins handing me the rose, that she seemed to forget she was holding. 

"Thank you" I smile taking it off of her. 

The car ride back to my apartment is one filled with music, neither of us feeling the need to talk for the moment, I don't know how to explain it, but I feel so incredibly comfortable when I am around Normani, like I can do or say anything and she wouldn't judge me for it, I feel like I can be myself with her, and I've never felt like that with anyone, I always felt like I had to be someone else, but with her I don't feel that way. 

Normani manages to find a parking space a few feet away from the door, and as I am picking my bag up from the floor, Normani has jumped out of the car and has walked around to open my door for me, I smile up at her and grin as she offers me her hand. 

"M'lady" She beams down at me. 

"Well aren't you a gentlewoman" I wink as I take her hand and climb out of the car

"For my dear of course" She tilts her head forward slightly, as if tipping a hat. 

"Such a dork" I smile. 

"You like my dorkiness" She smirks. 

"Ehh sometimes" I grin. 

"Hey" Normani smacks my arse as I walk past her, and I quickly look back at her over my shoulder. 

"You're going to pay for that later" 

"Can't wait" Normani smirks. 

And I swear she just gave me literal goosebumps, some of the things she says and the way she says it, god my body reacts in such a way that I just want to jump her, god I really need to cool it, but she gets me so turned on, I just can't help it. 

I enter my apartment and head straight towards my bathroom, allowing Normani to get up to her own devices, it's not the first time she has been here, so I no longer have to be polite and show her where to go. 

I strip out of my work uniform and have a quick wash, feeling dirty and smelly from being in that diner, I don't have enough time to have a shower, because I'd then have to try and tame my hair, and I just can't be bothered to be dealing with that right now, so a quick wash will have to do for now until later, I grab a towel from the rack and wrap it around my body, before making a quick dart towards my bedroom.
