You ran as fast as your feet could carry you. Following Ono, up until the watering hole, where you decided to take the lead.
The Pride Lands had changed, it wasn't that long since Kion returned to the Pride Lands but you knew what the Roar of the Elders was capable of so it didn't amaze you that damage was done to his home, but you were astonished at what he had done to his own home.
He grew up here, was born here, what ever he knew and loved was all here. Except you, of course.
"Ono!" You called and Ono swooped down, sitting in front of her, "Why is Kion doing this?" You asked, scared that he might say that you were the cause.
"A former king is here to guide him." Ono said, voice sullen.
"Isn't that good?" "The king is Scar." Ono replied, gloomily.
"I can't believe this." You said, eyes wide.
"Everyone tried to help him, but he just said that no one would ever understand, no one would ever feel like how he felt at that moment." Ono said, "He used his roar, it was so powerful and so destructive."
"Why isn't his roar being taken away, like Scar." You inquired, curiosity laced through your words.
"Rafiki says that the Kings are trying to teach him a lesson. Though he hasn't been able to communicate with Mufasa lately."
You let out a deep sigh, "I feel like this is my fault."
"Why?" "When Kion came to my home, he asked me to come back with him, I said no. I wasn't ready to leave. We had a huge fight about it and he admitted that he didn't love me." You replied, tears threatening to fall.
Taking a deep breath, you straightened your posture, "Ono, get some rest, Operation: Get back the Pride Lands starts in the morning."
