Another Plan(Kevin's POV)

"So do you guys know everything now?" I asked.
     "Yes," Meredith answered immediately.
"Yeppers," Samantha said with a thumbs up. They smiled at me and I smiled back.
"Good. So we might actually be taking in the girl on Tuesday because we scheduled the party tomorrow," I said.
"Superfruit Tuesday," the girls said at the same time.
      "Yeah that," I said laughing.
"Hey guys," Avi said from behind me.
     "Hey," I said.
"Hello," Meredith said with a smile.
   "Hi!" Samantha said excitedly.
"What time is it?" Avi asked.
"7:45," I said looking at my watch.
"Oh we need to be at the hotel by 8:30," Samantha said.
"We do? I forgot," Meredith said.
"How did you forget?" I asked. Judging from her brain fart earlier I wouldn't suspect her to forget anything.
"I have a half eidetic memory and half short term memory. I can remember things from school or fact related almost photographically but with other things...they just disappear from my mind like they were never there," she explained.

(That is actually true)

"That's understandable," I said nodding.
"We should go now," Samantha said.
"Yeah," Meredith said sighing.
"Wait...I need to tell you guys something," Avi said.
"What? No we don't. Avi what are you doing?" I asked. He shushed me.
"They don't know everything," he said.
"No. Avi don't. Kirstie wants to keep it a secret for now," I said quietly.
"Yeah but I have an idea to fix it," he argued. That shut me up quickly.
"Come on follow me," Avi said. Avi took us upstairs to Kirstie's office.
"Ok why are here?" I asked.
"Are we even allowed to be here?" Samantha asked looking around.
"Maybe we should just go," Meredith said pointing at the door.
"No. It's ok. I wanted to talk to you and Kevin," Avi said said.
     "Me?" Meredith asked.
"Yeah. You're smart and Kevin is too. You guys can find out what's really wrong with Kirstie, instead of listening to that hospitals advice, and find out how to fix it," Avi said.
"I don't know what happened to Kirstie. All she told me and Samantha was she hit her head really hard she had to go to the hospital because of it," Meredith argued.
"Avi I don't think it's right telling kids we barely know what Kirstie wants to hide," I said. Avi sighed sadly.
"You're right...I guess I just wanted to help," he confessed.
"We all want to help Avi but in full honesty me and one kid would have a very low percentage of being smarter than a doctor," I said.
"Would it be a bad time to mention Meredith is really good in science and she wants to be a doctor," Samantha said.
"That makes this plan even better," Avi said.
"Avi what made you want to do this in the first place. I mean we all want to help but we can't do what made you convinced that we can?" I asked.
"Look at this song," Avi said. He picked up a couple papers on the table behind him and handed them to me.
     "What are these?" I asked.
"Piano notes and lyrics that match," Avi answered.
"This is Kirstie's handwriting...this is a love song...about Mitch...what does that have to do with this entire situation? They're already together again," I said.
"It was written before today Kevin. She was gonna show us. She can't now," Avi explained. It was silent for a while as all 4 of us processed it. Finally, I nodded.
"Ok. I understand. I'll help," I said.
"I need your help too, Meredith," Avi said.
"As long as Samantha can help too. I don't leave her side," she said firmly.
"Of course," Avi said.
"I'm in," Meredith said. Avi explained about how Kirstie wasn't able to sing anymore for about 3 weeks because of the injury. He told them what would happen if she tried. Avi told them that the doctors and nurses couldn't do anything about it so they just had to wait for it to go away. He told the two girls how it affected rehearsals, tour, and her daily life.
"Let's come up with a plan," Avi said after all the explaining.
"How about we search for all the likely injuries and look at the different cures so we could test them out," Samantha offered.
"Geez you're helping already," Avi said.
"We have a couple smarties right here," I said pointing at the two smiling girls.
"Why thank you," they both said at the same time then they started cracking up.
     "Come lets research," Avi said.
"Woah slow down bro. Not today. These two need to get back to the hotel before their supervisors get made at them," I said.
"We can search the Internet when we get to our hotel rooms," Samantha said. Meredith nodded in agreement.
"Yeah but you need to get there first," I said. I pushed them out the door and set the song lyrics and piano notes on the table. I looked at Avi and whispered under my breath.
"You sure this is gonna work. They're just kids," I said.
"Have a little faith Kevin," Avi said.
"As long as Kirstie gets better," I said.
"She will get better. I'm putting my trust in 3 of the smartest people in the world," Avi said with a smile.
"Yeah ok," I said. I walked Samantha and Meredith downstairs.
"You taking them to where they need to be Kevin?" Scott asked.
"Yeah. I already explained everything to them," I said.
"Except...the thing right?" Mitch asked under his breath.
"Yeah except that," I lied. I hated lying to my friends. My friends who acted like family.
"See you tomorrow girls," Kirstie said.
"Kirstie just said that to us," Meredith squealed. Samantha laughed a little.
"We'll be back by 9 AM if that doesn't bother you," Samantha said.
     "Not at all," Kirstie said.
"Come on girls," I said. I lead them to me and Avi's car and let them inside.
"Thank for the ride Kevin," Samantha said.
     "Thank you Kevin," Meredith said.
"No problem girls," I said. I already knew the way to the hotel once they told me the name. Through the ride I listened to them talk. I saw why Kirstie and Mitch loved them so much. They were funny.
"Today was really confusing," Samantha replied to something Meredith said.
     "Yeah," she agreed.
"If someone were to make a book about this entire event probably no one would understand," Samantha said.
"That is...accurate," Meredith said with a laugh.

(...😐...)

I dropped them off at the hotel entrance and they waved goodbye while thanking me again. I waved back and smiled in response. They were sweet kids. But tomorrow was only gonna get more confusing. By that I meant so much more explaining.

Let me just face palm right now. Sorry if it sucks. Sorry if you don't understand. Sorry if you don't like it. Peace Out Peeps!
