"We're here," I said. I parked the car and we all got out.
"Do you girls have the notes?" Avi asked.
"Yes we do," Samantha answered.
"It's in my bag," Meredith said pointing at her small backpack. Samantha reached into her backpack and took out some pages of paper. She handed them to Avi and he thanked her. We went through the doors and went to the counter.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hello sir. What may I get for you today?" a man asked as he popped up from behind the counter. His name tag said Justin.
"We're just here to buy some pills and a humidifier for one of my friends. Maybe a nasal spray as well just in case," I explained. Justin took a nasal spray from out of a box, scanned it, and put it in a small bag.
"What size humidifier? We have mini and large left," Justin said.
"Mini will be fine," I said. He nodded and picked up up something from the floor and scanned it's tag. He put it inside of the bag.
"How many types of pills?" Justin asked.
"4 different types," I answered. He pulled some medicine pill containers out from under the cash box and pulled out some lids too.
"Which is the first one?" Justin asked.
"Pain relief pills," I said. Justin pulled a jar of pills from behind him, filled up one of the pill containers, closed it, scanned it, and put it on the bag.
"Next?" Justin asked.
"Allergy relief pills," Avi said. Justin repeated the process he used for the pain relief pills.
"Then?" Justin asked.
"Warfarin pills," Samantha said. Justin repeated the process he used for the allergy relief pills.
"Finally?" Justin asked.
"Zolpidem pills," Meredith asked. Justin repeated the process he used for the Warfarin pills.
"Anything else?" Justin asked.
"Can I have a container of allergy relief pills? Separate price to the other stuff," Meredith said.
"Of course," Justin said. He put all the other stuff, in the bag, to the side and made an extra container of allergy pills.
"That will be $94.67 for all the stuff in the bag and $10 even for the extra allergy pills," Justin said. I paid him and Meredith gave him the money.
"Here you go," Justin said handing me the bag.
"Thank you," I said. I took it and Avi offered to carry it.
"No problem. And the allergy pills for the girl," Justin said with a warm smile.
"Thank you," Meredith said. She took them and smiled back.
"My pleasure," Justin replied.
"Bye. Have a good day," Avi said.
"Hope your friend gets better," Justin called out just as we were about to leave.
"Thank you," I said. I closed the door and we went back to the car. While we were driving home it was a little silent.
"What has everyone down?" I asked.
"I don't know," Samantha said.
"Me neither," Meredith replied.
"I'm just worried...these won't work," Avi said shifting the bag of medicines in his lap. I watched Samantha and Meredith in the rear view mirror take their container of allergy pills from Meredith's backpack. Meredith took one, took a gulp of water, and swallowed it.
"I'm pretty sure we all are," I said. The girls in the back nodded in agreement.
"Hey I have a pretty good feeling it's gonna work," Samantha perked up.
"Why?" Meredith asked.
"Because it was Avi's idea and Kevin chose to help," Samantha explained. Me and Avi smiled.
"You really can't get any sweeter can you?" I asked. She shrugged and Meredith smiled brightly at her friend.(Now I'm remembering the video I made for her)
"Let's do this," I said as I parked the car in the driveway of Kirstie's house. We rang the doorbell and Mitch answered the door with Kirstie hugging him from behind.
"Wow," I said.
"Mitch I don't know if you noticed but there's a...um...a person on you," Avi said in between chuckles.
"You get used to it," Mitch said with a shrug. Kirstie shoved him gently and he laughed.
"I'm kidding Kit," he said. She smiled back, stopped hugging him, and went back to the couch.
"Come on in. The stage people left like 5 minutes ago just so you know," he said. We came in and Mitch closed the door.
"That's a full bag for one container of allergy pills," Scott said when he looked up at us. He was by the stage and he was examining it.
"Yeah about that..." I said my voice trailing off.
"I kinda maybe told Samantha and Meredith about the results of Kirstie's hospital visit and kinda maybe made Kevin help me and kinda maybe had the girls help us as well and we kinda maybe have interrupted something Kirstie didn't want to be disturbed but we think we found a cure," Avi blurted out quickly.
"What did you say?" Kirstie asked.
"I didn't hear any of that," Mitch said.
"Avi slow down," Scott said. Avi sighed deeply and spoke again.
"I told Samantha and Meredith about your results from the hospital," Avi said to Kirstie.
"You what?!" Kirstie exclaimed.
"Let him finish," I said quickly.
"But we think we found a cure. That's why went to the medical hospital and that's why we were talking upstairs," Avi explained.
"A cure?" Kirstie asked. Suddenly she wasn't mad anymore. I could tell she just wanted a way to sing again.
"Here," Avi said. He stretched his arm out and held out the bag of medicines. Mitch got up and got them for Kirstie. He handed them to her and she looked inside the bag.
"Pills...a nasal spray...and a humidifier?" Kirstie asked.
"Pain relief pills for dizziness," I said.
"Allergy pills and nasal spray for headaches," Avi said.
"Humidifier for voice cracks," Scott continued.
"Warfarin pill for fainting," Mitch said still looking in the bag with Kirstie.
"Zolpidem pill for comas," Kirstie said.
"Take them every time before you sing. Pills with water. Nasal Spray in your nose. Breath of the humidifier air," Avi said. Kirstie slowly smiled. She looked at Avi and literally tackled him into a hug.
"Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you," she said super fast.
"Thank you Kevin," Kirstie said and she hugged me tightly. I smiled and hugged back.
"Thank you so much girls," she said to Samantha and Meredith. Kirstie hugged them tightly and their faces literally lit up like a night light in a pitch black room.
"I can sing now!" Kirstie squealed happily. She hugged Scott and kissed Mitch.
"Woah Kirst all down," Mitch said laughing.
"I'm gonna sing again," she said jumping up and down. Kirstie jumped again and this time Mitch carried her. She giggled a little and then Mitch put her down.
"Congrats Princess," he said.
"We did it," Avi said.
"You can say that again," I said.
"We did it," Samantha and Meredith said at the same time. Then they started yelling 'JINX' at each other. We all laughed. We actually did it, I thought. For the rest of the day it was pretty much relaxed while we waited for the guests of the party to come. At 12:30 Mitch and Kirstie left to Mitch and Scott's house to get Wyatt who had been alone an entire day. They would be back by 2:30 and the party would start at 3:00. Meredith and Samantha gladly helped with finishing up everything in the house making sure it was presentable. We decided to let them stay for the party since they were such a big help. Everyone would love them.
Everything was pretty much as calm as it could get. Samantha and Meredith went to text their other friends to tell them what a day they had. We fully trusted them in not leaking out the address of Kirstie's house and they didn't. Instead they just asked us for a bunch of pictures and posted them on the social media apps they owned.
All was going really well. All I hoped for was that nothing bad would happen. Now or in the future. No matter what time it would happen I hoped it would never happen. Well there was always a twist in everyone's story. Good or bad. I hoped it was good. That's exactly what happened. Scott told us all to sit on the couch when Kirstie and Mitch left.
"What's going on Scott?" I asked.
"Is something wrong?" Avi asked.
"Is it more explaining?" Samantha asked.
"What's up?" Meredith asked.
"Ok slow down guys. To answer your questions...Avi; you're about to find out. Kevin; nothing's wrong. Samantha: yes. Meredith; Mitch is gonna propose to Kirstie," Scott said quickly. I literally almost fell onto the floor despite the fact we were sitting. Avi dropped his pillow. Samantha dropped her iPod. Meredith dropped her phone. All of us opened our mouths and looked at Scott.
"What?" I asked.
"I was talking to Mitch earlier and he explained the whole thing to me. Well...not the whole thing. He didn't tell me when," Scott said.
"Go on," Avi said.
"He knows it's only been a short time they've been together again but he pointed out that he has known Kirstie since childhood. He said he doesn't think he has enough money for the ring but he'll find a way. He always does. There's just one thing in worried about," Scott said.
"What is it?" Samantha and Meredith asked at once.
"I'm not sure he has time to actually buy the ring," Scott said.
"That's true. He has Kirstie clinging to him now," I thought.
"That's why I'm gonna need to ask for your guy's help," Scott said with a sheepish smile.
"We'll do anything you need us to do," I said.
"Agreed," the others said.
"Ok. We won't start the plan now but I'm gonna explain it," Scott said. We all nodded and listened. He explained his entire plan and we agreed to do it.
"Remember not now though," Scott said.
"When then?" I asked. With an evil smirk, that made all of us raise our eyebrows at him, he said; "Well Kevin. We very well might start this plan...soon."Please don't kill me...😵. Sorry if this sucks. Sorry if you don't like it. I made it extra long for you guys since I made you wait a day on SUMMER! Anyway...Peace out Peeps!
