Scott's POV:

I kept peeking out the window.

I closed the laptop printing all the pictures I took of Mitch proposing to Kirstie.

I knew it already happened but I wanted Kirstie to tell me herself.

I bit my lip and checked the window again nervously.

"What are you nervous about?" Kevin asked, coming up from behind me.

I chuckled gently.

"I don't know. Just...everything feels different now," I replied.

"How do?" Kevin asked.

"Well...Mitch moved...tour is gonna start...Mitch and Kirstie are gonna get married for god sakes," I laughed quietly.

"Then life gets different in a good way," Kevin said.

"That's not it," I said.

"What's the real matter then?" Kevin asked.

"I'm just...worried they...might one day...not be able to protect themselves in time and...and one of them might get hurt. What if I'm not able stop that? They're my two dearest friends what if that happens to them?" I asked helplessly.

"Have you seen them? They'll be fine on their own," Kevin said with a chuckle.

I smiled at him.

"Yeah...I know...thanks Kev," I said.

"I put Kirstin in bed," Avi said, coming downstairs.

"Ok," I simply said.

"Still waiting for them?" Avi asked.

"Yeah...most likely they lost track of time after Mitch proposed," I said.

I placed my hand on the window.

It was cold, I could admit that.

But I would wait till the end of time for those too.

"I think that's them," Kevin said.

I squinted at a woman and man coming toward the house.

"It is!" Avi exclaimed.

I smiled but quickly frowned.

(This is what you get for like literally no one caring to read the author's note that threatens I kill someone...MWAHAHAH!)

The dreading words escaped my mouth.

"What happened to Kirstie," I said blankly.

It wasn't a question.

I ran out of the house in an instant.
