Chapter six

"Please tell me why I allow you to sleep at my house again?" I asked Alex as I got off the floor that Alex pushed me off the bed onto. "Well that's because you were bored and I brought friends." He said pointing to everyone. "Ok, you're right." "Who's hungry?" I yelled getting up seeing everyone raise their hands. "Well I'm gonna go make breakfast, you guys can do whatever until I'm done." I started walking downstairs I reached the kitchen and pulled out the things I needed. "Need some help?" I turned seeing Colby smiling at me. He was wearing Black joggers, grey shirt, grey vans, and a black beanie. "Yeah, thanks." I said moving over to allow him room to help. "So your parents didn't care that you had so many people over last night? I mean you had three guys over in your room." Colby said while grabbing the pan from the top shelf for me. "No, they have this thing where they think I should make my own decisions and all that." I said trying to make my parents not seem like they don't care. He shook his head and handed me the pan, his hand lightly brushed mine while taking it. I paused and looked at him. He smiled and I quickly put my head down and blushed. He took his hand and gently turned my head back towards him. "I think it's cute when you blush, you shouldn't hide it." He said just above a whisper, which only caused me to blush harder. "Hey what are you co-. Oh sorry I didn't know you were busy." My head snapped up to see Alex smiling at me. "Shut up Alex." I laughed putting the bacon in the pan and getting the scrambled eggs on 6 plates. When the turkey bacon was done I put 3 pieces on each plate and one biscuit on each. I made myself a cup of coffee and put some juice on the table so they had a choice of drinks. I walked up stairs and told the others that the food was done and they all ran downstairs.

"You know considering we all just started talking Friday, we have hung out a lot." Zoe said eating a piece of bacon. "That's because me and you are so cool and they can't get enough of our faces." I said mocking Colby's 'attractive' face and they burst out laughing. "Well you know how it is, attractive people are drawn to attractive people." Colby said leaning over and taking a bite of my bacon. "HEYYY that's mine Colbyyy!" I said pouting "here" he said sticking his tongue out "eww Colby, it's okay you can keep it." I said taking my empty plate to the sink to rinse it before placing it in the dishwasher. The others did the same before following me to the living room and we sat down. Sam, Alex,and Zoe were playing one of my Xbox games. Adrian had to leave to go to church with her grandmother, and me and Colby were sitting on the couch. We talked about their vines and YouTube videos, mostly random stuff though. It was around 2 pm and I decided to make some snacks so I got up and went to the kitchen.

Colby's POV

I watched as Tessa got up to go to the kitchen. I had a question I've wanted to ask her for a while now. Ive had a crush on her since I moved here, I don't really know how serious my feelings are but I do know I like her. I got up and walked to the kitchen. I seen her standing by the counter getting a snack ready. "Hey, um Tessa.. I have a question." I said walking up beside her. Alright here it goes.. There's no going back now.

Tessa's POV

"What's up colby?" I asked I was kinda nervous about what he was about to ask. "Umm, I really like spending time with you and uh, I was wondering if maybe you would. I don't know." He paused and I put my hand on his to calm him and he took a deep breath "would you like to go on a date with me Saturday?" He rushed out, I almost didn't catch what he said and then it hit me. I looked up at his nervous eyes and smiled. "I would love to Colby" he breathed a sigh of relief. "Great, so I was thinking they have a really cool restaurant downtown, its a private 'club' type thing. It has dancing and music and great food." He said smiling. "That sounds really fun, I can't wait." I said smiling up at him. He then got a call from who I'm guessing is his mom. He hugged me bye told me he would text me later. Sam and Alex walked him out and they decided to go to Sam's house to finish a science project they had due tomorrow.

I walked into the living room eating the apple slices with Zoe. Thank goodness I didn't finish making the snacks since everyone left. "I over heard you and Colby in the kitchen." Zoe said jumping up and down with excitement. I soon joined her and we talked about what could happen on the date. "What if he didn't mean date? What if he means just as friends?" I asked Zoe worriedly "I'm 100% sure he meant date." She said while I walked her to her car. "Text me when you get home so I know you make it safe." She nodded and waved as she backed out. I walked back inside and went to fix dinner for my parents, I don't really eat dinner that often but I know may parents are hungry after work even though it's usually late when they get home. I made them baked chicken, a baked potato, and steamed carrots. When I finally finished they walked in. "Hey mom, hey dad." I said greeting them "I made you guys some dinner, I'm gonna take a shower and get to sleep since I have school tomorrow." I said putting their plates on the island by the stools. "Oh thanks sweaty it looks great, have a good night." My father said hugging me. I said my good nights back and walked up stairs to shower. I got out and changed into some cheer shorts and this cute tank top that said 'I don't wanna adult ever again' written in script font. I laid down and got a text from Colby.

(Text convo)
Colby: Hey Tess, sorry I just now texted you. I was busy helping my mom.
Me: its ok Wryd?
Colby: well I just finished the history paper that's due for Mr.Crain now I'm laying down. Wbu?
Me: OMG I forgot about that paper, I mean I have it done but I forgot about it lol. And I'm just laying down too.
Colby: hmmm
Me: What?
Colby: how dare you forget about such an important paper?
Colby: lol jk
Me: lol it's not my fault Crain 'only mentions his assignments once'
Colby: I am pretty sure that's why no one ever passes his class -_- like why?
Me: Right! Like we have more than one class to worry about lol.
Colby: I swear!! Anyways I'm really excited about our date.
Me: me too, I was really shocked when you asked me.
Colby: I've wanted to ask for awhile now but we never talked and I was scared you would turn me down and think I was weird tbh.
Me: Colby weird? No never lol
Colby: lol I see how it is now.
Colby: no but really, I'm gonna get some sleep I'll see you at school tomorrow.
Me: alright goodnight Brock.
Colby: Goodnight MaQuay

I plugged my phone up making sure to set my alarm, turned off my light and went to sleep.
