If you love me, don't let go

Chapter twenty two

Have you ever just looked in the mirror after getting a makeover and suddenly have a huge boost of confidence? I have that now, I've never thought I was ugly but I never thought I was pretty either. But seeing myself like this I finally see myself as pretty. I turned towards Ashley and Lexi who were standing behind me. I let my hand run down the side of my dress. It was  light lavender at the top and got darker as it went down. The ends were dark purple and almost looked black. The front of the dress went to mid thigh and the back went almost to my shoes. My shoes were black wedges, and on my right ankle I had a bracelet that Alex gave me on my 15th birthday. "You look beautiful Tessa, Colby is very lucky to have you." Lexi said and I walked over and hugged both of them. "Thank you both so much, and I am just as lucky to have Colby." Ashley smiled and walked back to the desk to find her next customer and Lexi helped me get my things ready for Colby. "I can tell Colby really likes you, please just don't hurt him. His last relationship ended terribly and I'm glad to see my nephew happy again." I nodded, I wonder what happened to Colby that was so bad. I don't even remember him being in a relationship. "I would never hurt him." She smiled and continued grabbing my two bags. She looked up and had this big smile on her face, I thought she was just being silly until I turned to see what she was looking at and seen Colby standing by the door smiling at me. He was wearing a pair of black dress pants and a white button up that had the sleeves rolled up. In his right hand he had a beautiful white rose that had purple on the tips. I looked back to his face and he was looking me over, I walked up to him and be pulled me in and hugged me. "Do you like?" I asked referring to my new hair and my appearance. "You look amazing Tess, I'm so lucky to have you." My hands found their way up to Colby's neck and I pulled him down to kiss me. He kissed back instantly, and I don't know what it was about that kiss but even though it was simple I felt so much more. It's crazy how someone can make you feel so intense over simple things. "As much as I love seeing you two kissing in the middle of my salon you guys don't wanna be late for dinner." I pulled away from Colby, I guess I didn't realize how long we had been kissing. Colby told Lexi bye and I waved as Colby grabbed my bags and we walked out to his car. "So are you gonna tell me where we are going?" I asked smiling and he shook his head. "Sorry princess it's a surprise." I pouted causing Colby to let out a small laugh and give me a quick kiss which caused me to stop pouting. What can I say, he knows how to make me happy. Colby opened my door allowing me to get in before shutting it and walking over to the drivers side. After he took off he let his right hand rest on my left leg drawing circles with his thumb. I grabbed his hand and he brought mine up to his lips kissing the top of my hand. I never thought in a million years I would be here with Colby Brock. It's amazing how it's only been one month, I guess since we spend so much time together we have gotten closer that we would've if we didn't spend as much time together.

(Colby's POV)

We have been driving in silence this whole time. I can tell Tessa has been thinking about something for the last 20 minutes because she is looking at our hands and every time I run my thumb across her fingers she smiles. I pulled into the parking lot that was empty except the workers cars. I rented out a special spot for the night, I even came and decorated so it would be special. I just really hope Tessa likes it.

(Tessa's POV)

The car stopped and I looked up and seen we were at a lake. I must have been really deep in thought because I don't remember the ride here being that long. The lake was huge and next to the docks there was a big boat. "Shall we?" I looked over and seen my door open and Colby holding his hand out for me to grab. "We shall." I replied smiling and grabbing his hand. The boat was really cute on the outside. There was a sign on the outside that said 'If you feel strongly about something, don't let go.' The background was a sunset and there was a cloud that looked like a heart. Colby leaned down to where his mouth was next to my ear "I'm never letting go." I looked up at him and kissed his cheek. "Never." I repeated and he leaned down giving me a real kiss. We pulled away after we saw a flash and looked at a girl standing in front of us with a Polaroid camera. She handed the picture to me and walked off. "I really like this one." Colby said looking at it with me. It was when we were kissing and all you could see was the two of us and a few stars. I agreed and put it in my purse and we continued inside. When I got in the boat my mouth almost dropped open. It was beautiful. It was set up like a restaurant and it was only lit by candle light. There was a woman in her mid thirties playing a beautiful melody on the violin. As we walked closer to the table a waiter brought two plates out and went back into the kitchen. Colby had steak and grilled vegetables and I had grilled chicken and vegetables. I smiled and turned towards Colby, he had a nervous look on his face until I pulled him in for a kiss. "This is beautiful Colby, I love it." I don't think I have ever seen him smile like that. Like what I said made him truly happy. "I'm glad you do baby." He said pulling my chair out for me to sit and pushing me in once I was seated.
The night was going perfect and me and Colby had just got done eating and we were now outside sitting on one of the docks that went further into the water.
"Tessa can tell you something." I looked up at Colby and he had a serious look on his face. I took a deep breath preparing myself for what he could say next. "Alright I know we have only been together for a month and I know it's soon but I'm falling for you. It's crazy how you have changed my life in such a short time. Whenever I'm sad all I have to do is see you and my whole world is perfect. And I'm trying not to rush because I don't want to loose you." I smiled and pulled him in for a hug, I pulled back slightly and Colby rested his forehead on mind. "You'll never loose me Colby." And right then was when I realized I'm falling in love with Colby Brock, I just hope he's there to catch me when I get ready to leap.
