Chapter fifteen

"Tessa come tell them bye." My mom yelled from downstairs. I got up and made my way down the steps and reached my sister at the bottom. They are finally leaving now that it's Saturday. A week after they had that dinner. "Bye Camry, bye Kimberly, bye Demon." I turned and started walking upstairs. My dad was laughing and my mom called me back down. "Tessa that's not nice." I shrugged my shoulders, "sometimes the truth hurts." I said and my dad laughed louder as I ran up to my room. Just as I finished changing into a pair of black joggers and a Nike tank top my phone buzzed indicating a text from my Colby.

(Text convo)
Babe: hey Baby are you busy?
Me: No my sister just left so I'm thinking of watching a movie.
Babe: Can I come over?
Me: sure when will you be here?
Babe: I'm outside your front door..

I put my phone down and ran downstairs laughing. "Honey are you okay? You seem a little crazy." My dad said. I shook my head and opened the door and let Colby in. "Be careful Colby I think she went crazy." My dad said causing Colby to laugh as I pulled him upstairs to my room. I shut my door and turned to Colby and smiled. "Tomorrow is our 2 weeks." I said and he nodded and smiled. Honestly it feels like it's been longer that two weeks but in a good way. "I know I can't believe your mine." He said picking me up and spinning me around. When he set me back down he gave me a quick peck on the lips. That's actually the first kiss he's given me on my lips in a couple days. I don't know I think maybe he is got what I told him still on his mind. I'm sure he'll snap out of it soon. "Hey Tessa we are going to Olive Garden for dinner, Colby you can come if you would like." My mom said and we nodded to her, and she shut the door for me to get ready. Colby was wearing a pair of jeans that made his butt look really good, a plain black long sleeved shirt with the arms rolled up to his elbow, black vans, and a black beanie. "You wanna come to dinner with us?" I asked going over to my closet and pulled out a pair of blue jean high waisted skinny jeans and a red crop top, I put my cute black leather jacket over it and pulled my hair into a high ponytail, I put my red TOMs on and left my makeup from earlier on. I grabbed my black purse and stuck my phone, wallet, and keys in it. Colby had already agreed to coming before I changed. We walked downstairs and seen my parents standing in the kitchen. "Whose car are we taking?" I asked while grabbing Colby's hand. My mom smiled at me and I started blushing and hid my face in Colby's Chest. "Well your dads truck has more room, so we won't be squished." My mom said and I nodded and pulled my face away from Colby to see both my parents looking at me. "That's cute, that's real cute sweetie." My dad said pinching my cheek and I fanned his hand away. I looked up and seen Colby trying to hide his laughter. He kissed my forehead and we followed my parents out to the truck. The whole car ride was filled with my parents talking about some business trip they are taking in November or whatever. They said they are gonna be gone for a week and aren't gonna be able to spend thanksgiving at home with me. It didn't bother me that much, It happens every year. We eventually pulled up to Olive Garden and we all got out.
Colby put his arm around my waist but made sure it was higher that usual, I rolled my eyes as he avoided touching my butt. We finally got seated and ordered our food. "So Colby what plans do you have after high school?" My dad asked and my mom looked up in interest. "Well I don't think College is something I want to go through but me and my friend Sam really wanna help people. We started a social media thing last year and it's really grown. So I'm hoping that I can do that and maybe travel. But if it doesn't work out there is a school in California I would like to attend. You know as a plan B." He said and my parents smiled. "That's kinda how Tessa is, what exactly are you gonna do Tess?" My mom asked and I shifted nervously in my seat. "Well I saved up and the first year after high school I would like to travel and figure out what I wanna do with my life." I said and took a bite of my salad. And my parents smiled at me. It was kinda creepy really. "Um.. Yes?" I asked and my mom handed me an envelope. I grabbed it and opened it. I read over it and it was like a receipt for the camera I wanted. I looked at my parents and my mouth fell open. "You said you wanted to start a doing videos and we got everything that the guy at Best Buy said we needed". "Oh my gosh, thank you guys so much." I said and leaned over and hugged my mom. I always wanted to start YouTube when I move after High school and now I can.
The rest of dinner we all talked about random stuff and my parents got to know Colby better. "Hey mom can I have the guest house in the back yard?" I asked and she quickly looked over at me. I had wanted it for awhile but I haven't had time to ask. "Sure honey, Timothy is that okay with you?" My mom asked my dad and he nodded while finishing his chicken Alfredo. I thanked them and we all got up and my dad went to pay the bill and then met us in the truck. The ride home was just filled with the music from the car and mom and dad rambling about work. When we got there my parents went in and I walked Colby home. "Do do you wanna help me move some of my stuff tomorrow? My dad will have his company movers move the bed and other furniture like the TV in the morning before we have to move the small things." I asked as we started crossing the street. "Yeah I would love to help you princess." He said pulling my hand to his face and kissing it. I blushed and hid my face in my other hand. "Do you like it when I call you Princess?" He asked pulling my face up to look at him. I nodded and bit my lip. He leaned in and gave me a gentle hiss on my lips. "Good night princess." He said hugging me. I buried my face in his chest taking in the sweet smell of his shirt. "Goodnight Colby." He kissed my forehead I gave him one more hug before turning back towards my house. I'm defiantly gonna have to talk to him about his lack of attention, cause I can't just not kiss him. It's driving me insane.
