Chapter thirteen

"Tessa are you listening?" My criminal justice teacher asked, causing the whole class to look at me. "Yeah I always listen." I said sarcastically and she smiled. "Can you come help me explain what's on the board?" She asked. I nodded and got up, she wasn't being rude because she knew I already knew the information on the board. When I got to the front I turned to the class and smiled. "Okay when you are going in to handcuff somebody you have to hold the cuffs a certain way." I grabbed the cuffs from Officer Bentley and she turned around for me to show them. "The reason is because if they try to resist after you get the first one on you can twist it and gain control." I said and just lightly twisted and officer Bentley pretended that it hurt. I took the cuffs off her handed them back. "Very good MaQuay." She said clapping, I bowed to the class and they clapped and I went to sit back down. The morning was boring and finally I had lunch.

"Ok so everything is set for Friday." Colby said into my ear causing me to jump. I turned around and kissed him. "Thanks Baby." I said while sitting down next to my friend Emma. "Oh when did this happen, and where were you yesterday?" Emma asked wide eyed at me and Colby. I blushed "Sunday, and Colby was sick so I stayed home with him." I said sitting down and waving at Emma's girlfriend Sarah. Colby waved Sam to come sit with us and soon Alex and Adrian walked over to us holding hands. "Ooooooh." Me and Colby said at the same time causing them both to blush. "Are you two a thing now too?" Emma said and they both nodded. I seen Beth get up from across the lunch room and she walked out with an evil grin on her face. Zoe is usually here by now. I looked up and seen her friend Tammy running in, she looked around until she found me. She quickly ran up to me and pulled me up from my seat. "Beth has Zoe cornered in the bathroom on the band hall." She said pulling me out of the room and towards the bathroom. The others got up and followed. I ran in and they had her down in the floor. Emma followed me in there and I told everyone else to stay out. "GET OFF HER BETH." I screamed pulling her by her arm, and making her fall. I quickly pulled my hair into a messy bun as she stood back up. Emma pulled the other two off Zoe and She ran out to the hall and left me and Emma in here to handle it. It was easy considering her two sidekicks ran out when Emma pushed one of them. She also walked out and made sure no one came in while I was talking to Beth. "Look I don't know what your problem is but you need to leave Zoe alone. She never did anything to you and you don't know her, you just hate her because she's my friend." I said pushing her back into the wall. "Don't you remember how bad I beat your ass last time? This time will be twice as bad if I have to deal with you again. Understood?" I said punching the wall beside her face. She jumped but then rolled her eyes trying to hide her fear. I backed away and opened the door. Before I walked out I looked back at her. "This is your last warning Beth." I said before letting the door swing shut. When I looked back, everyone looked at me shocked. "Babe are you okay?" Colby said grabbing my hand. I looked down and seen that they had a bruise coming across it. I was sure it would be dark purple by tonight. I nodded and he kissed it. "If she messes with you again let me know Zoe." I said and she nodded quickly. We began walking down the hall and the bell for 5th hour rang. I had this class with Colby and Sam, we walked into our history class and she had a note on the board that said for us to find a new seat. The tables had 4 chairs at each. Us three rushed to an empty table and sat down after the bell rang Mrs. Grim began teaching and there was a knock on the door. When she came back she had a new boy with her. She looked around the room and Sam smiled and waved to get her attention then pointed to our extra seat. She walked him over and he sat down. "This is Sam, Colby, and Tessa." She said pointing to each of us. "And this is Kevin." She said and we all waved. "I'm gonna pass out the assignments and when y'all get yours just take them home and can y'all show Kevin around for the rest of the class?" She asked and we nodded. She went back and got the papers and handed them out, we put ours in our bags and got up leaving class.

"So where'd you move from?" Sam asked smiling. "I'm from Arkansas, my mom got transferred down here to Kansas so we all had to move." He said smiling shyly. He was a few inches shorter than Colby, he had curly hair and he was pretty tan. I think he might have been mixed but I don't know for sure. "Well it's not that bad here. You'll get used to it." I said smiling at him. "Can I see your schedule?" Colby asked and Kevin handed it to him, me and Colby looked at it. I smiled, "you have English 12 with me and Colby, you have criminal justice with me, lunch with us, obviously history with us." I said and be smiled. "Oh and you have next period Band with me and Sam." Colby said. "Oh and he has 4th and 7th with Zoe." I said as Colby handed it back. "That's lucky you will know someone in every class. You can meet Zoe next period in band." Sam said smiling when he said Zoe's name. "Thanks" He said as we walked off and showed him around. After about 30 minutes the bell rang. Sam showed Kevin to the Band room and Colby walked me to my class. "Do you wanna hangout at my house Saturday night while I'm watching Kimberly?" I asked as we reached the class room. He leaned down and kissed me. "Yeah I'll get us Taco Bell and bring it over, and we can watch movies." He said smiling. "Alright it's a date. See ya in 7th babe." I said before walking into the room. We had to do a presentation over the human emotions today so it was pretty boring. Eventually the bell finally rang. I walked up to my teacher Mr. Hostel "Do you have a moment? I have a quick question." I said standing in front of his desk. He nodded and I came around and sat in the chair beside him. "Okay well I know this is a weird thing to ask a teacher but I need advice. And since you study human emotions I feel like you could help." I said and he nodded. "Okay so you have a boyfriend question." He said and I smiled and nodded. "Well you remember the paper I wrote at the beginning of the year, the one about what our worst memory was and how we choose to cope?" He nodded and patted my back in sympathy. "Well I finally decided to see someone else, And I really trust him. Do you think that since that happened I'm not supposed to trust anyone? Aren't I supposed to be afraid that it will happen again? My friend told me not to rush but I feel like with him I'm safe." I said and a tear slipped out. Mr. Hostile handed me a tissue and I wiped my eyes. "Well even though you went through such a thing you have found someone who your mind knows won't hurt you. It isn't bad that you aren't afraid, not everyone is an asshole like that. Excuse my French, as long as you know you're safe, it's good you can trust him. Your mind is just allowing you to get what your heart deserves." He said patting my back as we both stood up. He walked me out to the hall and Colby walked up and hugged me. "Hey Babe, Ms. Looney said we have a free period and we can all go out to the field and do whatever." Colby said hugging me. I turned and waved to Mr. Hostile and he gave me a thumbs up.
We got out to the field and started walking around. "What are we doing for the Date Friday?" I asked grabbing Colby's hand and looking up at him. We stopped as Simon ran in front of us with a football. BTW me and Colby have PE last period so that's why we got to come out side. "Well I was thinking we could go out to SUMOs and then you will ride with me and I'll tell Sam to make his move. Then when we get to the park we'll know if they are like a thing. Then you can take Zoe home and see if she liked it and I'll talk to Sam and I'll come over and we can gossip about it." Colby said getting excited. I laughed at how he was acting like a girl. "Yeah, you should spend the night too." I said stopping and standing in front of him. "I like that idea babe, I think I'll take you up on it." He said giving me a quick kiss. When we pulled away the bell rang. We went to the bleachers to grab our bags when the new cheer coach came out. Last year somethings went down and Beth's mom got fired after I quit and Beth got kicked off. "Hey you're Tessa right? Last years captain?" Coach Lilly said. I nodded and she smiled. "Can you do this one move real quick so the newer cheerleaders can see how it's supposed to look? I would but my wrist is broke and the others aren't really great at it yet." She said and I looked at the board it was a few front flips and back flips. Then a spin in the air, and finish with the splits. Colby grabbed my bag and I changed into the cheer shorts I had in my gym locker and a sports bra and walked out. Colby looked me up and down. "Easy there killer." I whispered handing him my gym bag that had my clothes in it. "Okay guys, I'm gonna do this short routine and you guys can ask anything at the end. I plugged my phone into the speaker and blared Good girls by Elle King. We did the regular cheer at first and when it got to the chorus I stepped I front of everyone and did a small running start and did about 5 front flips and a small twist and landed on my feet then did 5 back flips, another twist in the air landing on my feet, did a high kick and then went down into a split. Coach Lilly stopped the music and everyone was clapping. I looked over at Colby and he walked over to me and put the bags down and raised his hands in the air and looked up the sky. "How am I so lucky. She is super hot, Really nice, an AMAZING kisser, she's flexible, and she can do the splits." He wiped away a fake tear and continued. "THANK YOU!" He yelled picking me up and kissing me on both my cheeks. We all laughed at his silliness and I took my hair out of the high ponytail and put it in a messy bun. I put my backpack on and Colby grabbed my gym bag with one hand and put the other around my waist. "Tessa would you be interested and being a student Coach? Instead of PE 7th period we can switch you into my beginner cheer class?" I smiled and looked at Colby who looked kinda sad. I was about to refuse when she started talking again. "We can switch him to and he can be your 'secretary' or whatever." She said and we both nodded. She gave me a paper to fill out for a new uniform and told me I could cheer at some of the games if I wanted to. I filled it out quickly and put the money in the envelope and handed back and Colby and I walked to our cars. When we got to our cars, which his was parked in front of mine. He pulled me in for a kiss and his hand went to my back. I was still in my gym clothes so I just had a sports bra on and Colby began to rub circles on my lower back with his thumbs. He bit my lip and deepened the kiss. I slid my hands down his side and rested them on his waist under his shirt. He kissed down my neck and to my sweet spot causing me to moan lightly. I know since what happened with Chance I'm supposed to not wanna do anything with any guy. And to be honest that's how it was with any of the other guys I talked to. But with Colby it was different, I knew I shouldn't be thinking that so early in the relationship, but this boy really knew how to get me going. Colby bit my neck right below my ear causing me to moan again. "C-Colby I need to get home." I said almost out of breath. I pulled him down again kissing him slightly rough and kissing down his neck. I pulled away "Stop being so hot, I shouldn't be thinking like this." I said and he smirked. "And what exactly are you thinking about Tessa?" He whispered into my ear. I wanted to kiss him again but I slipped out of his hold and got in my car, I rolled down my window. "I'm getting sexually frustrated and we just started dating and I don't usually think like this. Oh gosh am I a whore?" I said covering my mouth and Colby walked up to my window. "Babe your not a whore, and don't worry we can wait how ever long you want." He kissed me on the forehead. "Until then I'll try to stop being so sexy." He said and made the face that he did at the party. I laughed and kissed him bye before driving home. This boy is driving me crazy, but maybe I don't mind.
