Chapter five

"Thanks Mrs.MaQuay" I heard someone say as my bedroom door clicked shut. I looked up and seen Zoe sitting on the side of my bed. "Your mom is so sweet." She said looking at her phone. "What are you doing here?" I asked setting up and pulling my hair up into a messy bun. I always say don't go to bed with your hair wet and then I do it anyways. Naturally curly hair doesn't look good when you fall asleep before it has time to dry. "Well I needed to get my car and I realized that my keys were in your room." As she finished my phone buzzed indicating I had a text.

(Text convo)
Colby: Good morning
Me: well good morning Colby
Colby: did you sleep well?
Me: yeah until Zoe woke me up
Colby: lol, yeah Sam woke me up when he called this morning
Me: Oh yeah I almost forgot I was taking you to get your car. I'm gonna get dressed and you can just come over when you're ready.
Colby: alright I'll be there soon, thanks Tess
Me: you're welcome Colbs

I put my phone up and instantly got tackled with questions from Zoe. "Who was that? Was it a guy? Who is texting you so early? Why is I-" I cut her off by laughing and lightly pushing her. "It's Colby, I'm taking him to Sam's to get his car, you can come with if you wanna." She nodded eagerly as I got up and got dressed. I put on my grey jeggings, a cute black tank that had a white skull on it. And for shoes i decided on my black vans. I left my hair in the messy bun, then I washed my face and just put on mascara and my cherry lip balm. When I was done I heard a knock on my bedroom door. "Come in." I yelled putting my makeup back in the drawer it came from. "Hey Colbs, you ready?" I asked looking up at him. And he smiled and nodded. "Alright, since you know where you're going I'm gonna let you drive. Is that ok with you?" I asked holding my keys up to him and he took them. "You just like having me drive you around." He said doing his same face from last night and wiggling his eyebrows causing us to all laugh. We walked downstairs and I told my mom where we were going and then we got in my car. Me and Colby sat how we did last night and Zoe sat in the back in the middle.

It was probably a 35 minute drive to Sam's house, but if the traffic wasn't so bad it probably would've only took like 20, when we got there Sam was sitting outside. Colby told us we could get out if we wanted to. Which we did, we stepped out and walked up to Sam. Me and Sam know each other kinda so I've talked to him before. "Hey Sammy boy" I said as he got up to hug me. "Hey Tessa, hey Zoe." I looked over at Zoe who waved at him and had a small blush across her cheeks. "I didn't know y'all knew each other." Colby said referring to me and Sam. "Yeah I met him through Alex." I laughed earning a weird look from Zoe. I forgot I never told her that I knew him, oh well, I'll tell her later. "I wonder if we missed anything at school Friday." Sam said, I totally forgot that all of us missed school to plan a party. "Idk, hopefully not too much. You know considering all 5 of us have mrs.Smiths class together she is gonna question us." I laughed "I'm gonna blame Alex. " Sam said and we all agreed that it was a good idea. "I'm gonna get home guys, Zoe's car is at my house and she can't get home until she gets her keys. I said waving to them while walking back to my car. I rolled down my window and called back to them "see you guys later" they smiled and waved back to me as I drove off.

"You never told me you knew Sam." Zoe half whispered out. I kinda giggled "you never really asked Zoe. But yes I know him. I kinda became 'friends' with him our sophomore year at a party of Alex's" I replied and she nodded. "Soooo.... You and Colby?" She nudged my arm and caused a blush to creep it's way onto my face. "We are just friends, we were talking yesterday at the party and he commented on how that was the first time we talked to each other. Then we decided to be friends. And after the party he drove us home in my car cause I had too many drinks." I said pulling into my driveway. "I don't know why I was scared to talk to him, he's a pretty funny guy." I laughed as we walked into the house. When we got to my room Zoe grabbed her keys and we said our goodbyes as she left. I waved from my window as she drove off.

I spent the rest of the day up in my room watching Netflix. Until about 9pm, when I heard a tap on my window. I opened it to see Alex and he climbed into my room. "Is everything ok?" I asked truly worried about my friend who just climbed up the tree in my front yard to get in my house. "Oh yeah, your dad opened the door when I knocked and he bet me $20 that I couldn't climb the tree." And as he finished my dad walked in and fist bumped Alex and handed him $20. "Dude next time it's not gonna be that easy." My dad said to him. "Sometimes I find it weird that my best friend hangs with my dad more than I do. It's like you have a bromance going on." "We love each other Tessa." They said at the same time. I held a straight face "Dad you have to tell mom about this. And Alex I'm not gonna call you mom." It was silent for a few minutes Then we all laughed and my dad left the room. "What ya watchin!" Alex asked taking his shoes off and climbing onto my bed. "Well Im re watching this season of Pretty little liars, but if you want you can look through my movies. He got up and went to the huge shelf of movies and picked all the paranormal activity movies. While I finished the last episode of PLL Alex invited Sam, Colby, Zoe, and this new girl Adrian to come watch the movies.

They all showed up around 10pm and My parents said they could all stay the night. My bed is a King size so we all fit I sat beside Colby then Zoe and Sam at the other edge. Alex and Adrian laid at the end. I jumped a lot during the movie and I didn't even notice that I had some how managed to lay on Colby and hide my face in his chest.

When we finished all the movies Alex got up to put something else in and he looked at me and Colby and cleared his throat. Like I said I didn't realize I was laying on him. "Oh sorry." I said blushing and began to move. "It's fine, you didn't bother me." He said laying down and covering up. I guess Alex decided against another movie because he turned the light off and laid back down. I covered up and next thing I know Colby had his hand around my waist and pulled me close to him. I know he didn't mean anything by it, but this boy is gonna cause me to have a heart attack. I mean I've only had a crush on him since forever and now he's hugging me up. I don't think my mom wants to plan my funeral so soon. And while I'm on the topic of funerals why is the word fun in funeral? They aren't fun at all. It didn't take long for me to fall asleep after I stopped my mind from wondering. I felt warm and safe cuddled next to Colby. I just wish he seen me as more than a friend.

FUN FACT a lot of stuff that I talked about has really happened except different names and it obviously wasn't Sam and Colby. But it's really based off things that actually happened to me. Like the sleepover and how my parents literally let me do what I want 🙌🏼👍🏼 lol anyways don't forget to Vote and Comment Please ❤️
