Chapter twenty

"Hey Alex, your mom let me in. I was gonna call before I came but I didn't know what to say." I sat down in his desk chair and he moved from his laying position and is now sitting on the edge of the bed. He looked down at his hands for a few minutes, and right when I was about to say something he spoke up. "Look Tessa I didn't mean to be rude yesterday, it's just with what happened with Adrian I got caught up in all of it. If it makes you feel better I didn't hangout with Heather." I sighed and sat on the bed next to him. "Im sorry I over reacted, it just hurt me the way you told me to stay out of it. We have always told each other everything and I don't know I shouldn't have thrown a huge fit, I just don't wanna see you turn into that kind of guy." I said and he pulled me into a hug. "Colby told me you left school yesterday, I didn't mean to hurt you. I'm not ever gonna be that type of guy. Best friends?" I pulled him in for a tighter hug. "Best friends." I repeated and pulled away, Alex then stuck his pinky finger out. "Forever?" I smiled and hooked my pinky with his. "Forever." That is the best way to make a solid promise. Some people think it's childish, but oh well. My phone dinged indicating a text from Zoe. It said 'Hey the guys went to Colby's to film am intro for a video, can you come home I'm bored?' I told her I would be there soon and put my phone back in my pocket. "Well I gotta go back to my house so Zoe isn't alone. Since we made up are you coming to my house for Halloween?" He nodded and gave me a hug and walked me back outside to my car. I got in and started driving home.
"It's not that easy with you here, but I know I want you to stay. See this could be us in a few years," I sang along with the radio, shutting it off when I pulled into my driveway. The good thing about our guest house, well my house now, is that there is a driveway separate for it and there is a little fence that keeps it separate from the rest of the back yard. I locked my car and walked into the house. The scent of my tropical air freshener hit my nose and I smiled. "How'd it go with Alex?" Zoe said peeking her head out of the kitchen, she had a bag of Takis that she was eating. I joined her in the kitchen taking a chip from the bag. "Well we made up, he apologized for being rude and I apologized for over reacting." I said simply. "You guys always makeup so easily. It's scary." She said and I laughed agreeing with her. "So do you know what the new video is supposed to be about?" I asked while grabbing a water out of the fridge. "Um, I don't know they said it's a surprise." Zoe replied taking my water and downing the whole thing. "Thanks for that." I grabbed another water and downed it before she could grab it. "So is it weird not living in the same house as your parents? I mean I know you technically live in their back yard but is it different?" I sat on the sofa and she sat next to me. "Yeah kinda, I mean my parents aren't home that often anyways but it's different. I like it, it makes me feel independent." I said and she smirked. "Sure you're independent little miss 'I can't sleep without my boyfriend.' " I sent her a friendly glare and then we both burst out laughing. "I feel like we haven't really gotten to hangout much since we both got boyfriends, I miss it." I said when we stopped laughing and Zoe nodded in agreement. " since the guys are filming, do you wanna go to the mall and we can get some new clothes and stuff? I need a new outfit for tomorrow anyways." "That sounds good to me. I'll tell Sam." She pulled out her phone and I did the same and sent a text to Colby.

(Text convo)
Me: Hey me and Zoe are going to the mall, I'm gonna get some new outfits and stuff.
Babe: Okay princess, have fun. Let me know when you get there so I know you made it safe.
Me: I will, Have fun filming with Sam

I put my phone in my back pocket and grabbed my purse and keys. "Alright are you ready?" I asked grabbing two monsters out of the fridge and handing one to Zoe. "Yeah, thanks." She said grabbing the monster.

The ride to the mall was pretty quick, it was nice out so we rolled down the windows and turned the music up. When the song 'Needed me' by Rihanna came on we both sang along. We pulled into a parking spot just as the song ended, I rolled up the windows and we got out of the car locking it and walking into the mall.  I sent a quick text to Colby saying we made it.
We went to Earth Bound first and I got a white spaghetti strap crop top with a long black and white tribal hippie skirt, it had a slit on the right side that went all the way up to my mid thigh. Then we went to forever 21 and I got some cute long sleeved shirts since it's gonna be cold soon. When we left forever 21 we stopped in the food court and got subway.
"So are you excited about tomorrow?" Zoe asked taking a bite of her sandwich. "Very, can you believe we are dating the guys we've had crushes on since forever?" I asked overly excited. She smiled "it's amazing, I can't believe it. It's like the perfect dream." I nodded in agreement. "This is a dream that I never wanna wake up from." I said that and Zoe burst out laughing earning looks from others. "Aww that's so romantic Tessa." We got up and threw our trash away. We walked around and I seen some phone cases and got me and Zoe a matching best friend set and then I seen one that was meant for guys and me and Zoe split our money and got it for Sam and Colby. After buying a few more outfits we finally decided it was time to leave. I texted Colby as we were walking to my car.

(Text Convo)
Me: We are leaving now, I'll be home soon.
Colby: alright babe, me and Sam are gonna order some Chinese for all of us. We are already at the house waiting on y'all.
Me: okie dokie. Be there soon

I put my phone in my bag, because you know... It's against the law to text and drive... And I for one don't wanna die. "SHES A WILDFLOWER, JUST WAITING ON A SUNNY. JUST WAITING ON THE WIND TO CHAN-"  I slammed my hand on the radio and turned it off. "Why was that up so loud?" Zoe held her ears and I turned the song up just a little so it was barely audible. Wildflower is probably one of my favorite songs by Lauren Alaina. We pulled out of the driveway and off towards my house.
•skip car ride•
"Hey babe, we're back." Zoe greeted Sam as we walked in the door. I reached in my bag and grabbed the two iPhone cases and gave Sam's to Zoe. "Where's Colby?" I asked walking into the living room with Zoe and showing the cases to Sam. "Those are awesome, and he's upstairs taking a shower." He said while putting the new case on his phone. I grabbed all my bags and carried them upstairs to my room. When I walked in I could hear the water in the bathroom running. I took the new clothes out of the bag and put them in my empty basket to be cleaned. I took them downstairs and started the washer. When I got back to my room I noticed the water wasn't running anymore. I grabbed a pair of yoga shorts and one of Colby's shirts and clean panties and a matching bra. When I turned around I seen Colby walking out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist. I was probably looking at him longer than needed because when I looked back up to his face he was smirking. "Like what you see princess?" I nodded and he walked towards me and his hands snaked around my waist and he leaned down to kiss me. I accepted and his hands moved under my shirt and onto my mid back. He tried to deepen the kiss but I pulled away. Colby looked at me confused and I pointed downstairs. "They are still here, and I need to take a shower." Colby pouted and went to kiss my neck. His warm soft lips hit my collar bone and a small moan escaped my lips. My hands traveled to the hem of his towel and I ran my fingers along the edge of it. "Tessa." Colby breathed out and I laughed and gave him a small kiss before running into the bathroom and locking it. "Baby that wasn't nice." Colby yelled through the door laughing. "Bite me babe. We have company." I instantly regretted my choice of words when I heard Colby get close to the door. "I didn't know you liked being bit princess." Colby said in a low voice. I just laughed and stepped into the shower. I was in there for about 15 minutes and I stepped out. I wrapped my towel around me and went to grab my clothes. When I got to the shelf I realized I dropped them in the room. I secured my towel and opened the door. I went over to my pile of clothes in the floor and pulled on my undergarments, I put my shorts on and when I pulled my shirt over my head I felt a familiar set of arms snake around my waist from behind. "The food is downstairs baby." He said kissing the crook of my neck. I could help but smile when I turned and looked at him. "You know Colby, I don't know if I sound crazy but this is what I dreamed of since I first seen you. It makes me so happy that you're mine." He looked into my eyes and I seen this sparkle I never seen before. "Tessa you're not crazy, I feel the exact same. As much as I wish I would have talked to you sooner, I'm just happy we are together now." I leaned up and kissed him. When I pulled away I grabbed my phone off the bed and we walked downstairs. "Finally, what were you guys doing up there that took so long? You know what never mind I don't wanna know." Zoe said causing Sam to laugh and Colby and I just shook our heads and we went to the kitchen to get the food. The rest of the night we all goofed off, Zoe and Sam didn't leave until around 11:30. I couldn't have picked any better people to surround myself with.
