Chapter twelve

(Colby's POV)

I got up around 7:00am and changed into my black joggers and a white t-shirt. Brushed my hair which was a little messy from going to sleep with it wet, I put on deodorant, and brushed my teeth. Lastly I slipped on my black vans and grabbed my wallet and keys. I looked out my window and seen Zoe leaving for school. I walked downstairs and seen my mom getting ready for work. "Hey mom I'm gonna go over to Tessa's, she stayed home today so she could make sure I got rest." I said pulling on one of my black beanies I had laying on the counter. "Alright that's fine, I'll be home late tonight because we are having a meeting after work so don't wait up for me." She said hugging me and walking out the door. I walked out and locked the door and walked across the street to Tessa's. It was kinda cool today, and slightly cloudy. I got to her door and knocked lightly, after a few seconds her Dad opened the door. He smiled and shook my hand. Tessa's dad seemed nice and to be honest it kinda scared me. I've been in other relationships before but none where I ever met their parents, and from what I seen in movies the dads are supposed to be 'over protective, and kinda mean' to the guy dating their youngest daughter. "Hey Colby how are you?" I smiled up at Tessa's dad. "I'm good Mr. MaQuay how are you this morning?" I asked and her mom came in and gave me a hug. "I'm good, and please call me Timothy, Mr.MaQuay makes me feel old." He laughed and I nodded. "Alright sounds fair enough." I said laughing with him. "Tessa is upstairs in her room. I'm sure she is still asleep, but you can go on up." I gave her a warm smile. "Thank you." I said turning to go up the steps. I reached her door and went in. She was looking at her phone sitting up on the edge of her bed. She was wearing some black fuzzy shorts and a tank top, she had her hair down and it had messy waves you could tell she didn't let it dry before she fell asleep but it was cute. She obviously wasn't wearing any makeup, I'm glad she is comfortable enough not to, she looks beautiful either way. I took my beanie off and walked over to her. I leaned down and kissed her on the forehead, and like always she blushed. "Good morning Babe." She said pulling me in for a better kiss. I really liked the way 'babe' sounded coming out of her mouth, well when she is referring to me that is. I let the kiss linger for a couple more seconds before pulling away. "Morning Baby." I said while taking my shoes and shirt off. I could see that Tessa was looking at me and it made me blush a little. I climbed into the bed next to her and she laid her head on my chest, and I wrapped my arms around her. "Is it okay if we sleep a little longer before we get up?" She asked turning off her lamp causing the room to be pitch black, It helped that she had blackout curtains. "That's fine with me, I'm still tired anyway." I said causing me to yawn. I kissed her head and shut my eyes. I don't know what it was but I feel like being here with Tessa made me more relaxed and I drifted off to sleep without any trouble.

(Tessa's POV)

I woke up around 11:00am and I was gonna get up to go to the bathroom but when I moved I felt a hand tighten around my waist. I smiled and remembered Colby being here. I rolled over and laid my head on his bare chest. It was relaxing to hear his slow heart beat and his relaxed breaths. I could have stayed like that all day. Well that is if I didn't need to use the bathroom. I tried to wiggle my way out of his grip, but it only tightened. "Colby." I didn't get a response, "Colby... Babe, I need to get up." He opened his eyes slightly and yawned "I don't want you to leave me." He said kissing the top of my head. "I need to go to the bathroom, I'll be right back." I said and he reluctantly let me go. I did my business, washed my hands, and washed my face and put my moisturizer on, then walked back to my room. Colby then went to the bathroom and came back and laid back down. "Are you hungry? I'm gonna go make me a strawberry toaster strudel and I'll make you one if you're hungry. I said sitting up. He nodded. "I'm gonna add some chocolate syrup on top of mine along with the icing that comes with it, do you want me to do that to yours?" I said kissing his forehead. "Mmmm yeah that sounds good." He said kissing my cheek. I got up and walked downstairs. When I got to the kitchen I pulled out the toaster strudels from the freezer and made us two each. I put the icing on it and grabbed the chocolate syrup and added some on our food. I grabbed two forks and also made us some chocolate milk. I grabbed the platter that had cup holders on it and put the plates and drinks on it and carried it back to my room. Colby thanked me and I turned on the tv while we ate. "This is really good Babe, thank you." Colby said taking another bite of his breakfast. "You're welcome." I said taking a drink of my chocolate milk. When we got done Colby helped me take our dishes back downstairs. I made my sister the same thing I had for breakfast and took it up to her, she thanked me and me and Colby went back to my room. "What ya wanna do?" I said sitting down with him on my bed. "Hmm we could play the question game, that way we can get to know each other more." He said setting his phone down. "Alright but you go first." I said while turning the tv down. "Okay I'm gonna start out easy, What's your favorite color?" I thought for a second "that's easy it's pink." I said causing him to laugh. "What's your favorite food?" I asked and he answered back pretty quick. "Pizza, what's your over all favorite song? Not just your current." I thought for a second "Your biggest fan by never shout never. What do you want to do after high school?" He smiled at my question. "Well I don't think I wanna go to college but I really wanna help people. That's kinda why me and Sam started social media." I smiled at him and we continued talking about that for awhile, he asked me what I wanted to do and I told him I wasn't sure but I wanted to maybe travel and move out of my hometown, which me and Zoe had planned on doing for awhile now. We also asked more questions and just spent over an hour getting to know each other better. "What's your favorite thing about me?" I asked and he smirked and leaned in close to my ear I could feel his warm breath on my neck and it caused my breathing to quicken slightly. "I like how no matter what when I do anything it makes you blush, I like how even though your hair is dark brown it looks kinda red in the sunlight, I like how you look beautiful with and without makeup, I like how when I get close to you, you bite your lip and your breathing changes. I like how when I kiss you it always makes my lips tingle and I always want more, and I really like how even though we just actually started talking just a little over a week ago that I am comfortable around you, and I feel like we've talked and been friends for years." When he finished he leaned back in and kissed me. He lightly bit my lower lip causing me to gasp a little allowing him to deepen the kiss. His hands snaked around my waist and he pulled me onto his lap, my hands found their way into his wavy brown hair. He kissed down my neck and to my sweet spot by my collar bone casing a small moan to escape my mouth, he lightly nipped my neck and went back to my lips. I pushed him back on his back and I was straddling him. I kissed down his neck and when I got closer to the top by his jaw and ear I kissed there and I heard a small groan leave his lips. I was about to go back to his lips when my door opened. "Oh sorry Tess I didn't know you were gonna be busy." I looked up and seen my sister standing there. I got off Colby and helped him sit up and we just kinda laughed at the look on my sisters face. "We were only kissing," I said with a shy smile. "What do you need." I asked as she sat in my makeup chair. "Do you have a dress that would fit me that I can borrow for the dinner with mom and dad this weekend?" I went to my closet and pulled out 4 dresses that could fit her. My sister still had some of her weight from the pregnancy so she could only fit my stretchy dresses. She thanked me and left. I laughed when she pointed at the doorknob and locked it before leaving. I looked over at Colby who was smiling at me. I looked at my phone and it said it was 3:00 which meant Zoe would be home soon. "When Zoe gets here do you wanna go with me to take her to get her car from the shop?" I asked getting up and going to my closet to find something to wear. "Yeah, can we get something to eat before we come home cause my moms not gonna be home to cook for me tonight." Colby said while putting his shirt on and fixing his hair and putting on his beanie, and his shoes. "Yeah that sounds fine to me." I decided on my black leggings and a pink long sleeved jersey shirt that said PINK on the back in black letters. I also grabbed my pink VANS. I was about to go to the bathroom to change when Zoe came in and ran to the bathroom cause she really needed to go. "Hey I'm gonna change in here is that okay Colby?" I asked and he looked up at me with a smirk. "Yeah Babe that's fine with me." I turned away from him laughing I stripped down to my underwear. Which were my black kinda lace boy short undies that said PINK on the waistband and the matching lace bra and it had a pink bow on the front. I looked back and seen Colby look up from his phone at me and his mouth dropped. He looked me up and down and when his eyes met mine he smirked. I winked at him and put on my clothes. It didn't bother me for him to see me like this cause I mean he already seen me in a bikini. When I was done I went and put on some foundation, I did a natural eyeshadow, a thin line of eyeliner and some mascara. I finished with my favorite Cherry lip balm. I decided to put on my black SnapBack on backwards. It said PINK on it. When I was done Zoe came out and she was changed into her light blue high waisted skinny jeans, a black crop top and she put her hair up in a messy bun. "School was so annoying today." She said grabbing one of my bandanas from my dresser, folding it, and tying it around her hear like a headband. "What about your trip?" I said as she handed me my keys. I also grabbed my wallet and handed my phone to Colby to put in his pocket. "It was good until I realized that Beth was there. She was being a total snob and she tried to trip me when we left the after show meeting." I shook my head. Beth was one of my ex friends, and after me and her got in a fight last year she stopped messing with me but she bullies Zoe. "You know if you beat her ass she would stop that." I said and Colby shook his head at me and smiled. "I remember y'all fighting last year." He said and pinched my arm eyeing it. "I never thought you were that tough until I seen that fight. I mean i heard you had been in a couple other fights that you won but still." He said and I playfully pushed his hand off my arm. "I was in cheer, until that fight so of course I'm strong." I laughed and he nodded. "Yeah I know I used to see you at the games because I'm in band, why'd you quit?" He asked while I grabbed a pair of my sunglasses off my dresser. "Instead of suspending me and putting it on my record they gave me the option of leaving the cheer team and it wouldn't go on my record. Beth's mom was the coach and since I was captain and Beth wanted my spot. I just quit cause I didn't wanna deal with the drama." I said and they both nodded. "Hey Zoe are you ready to get your car?" I asked and she nodded. We got to the car and I decided to drive so Colby sat in the passenger and Zoe in the back. When I got in I let out a sigh. "Are you okay." They both asked me and I sighed again. "Im fine I'm just freaking short and every time someone drives my car *cough cough* I have to re set my seat cause I can't reach the peddles." I said and I pushed the forward button. The seat buzzed until I got it as far as it could go which took almost a whole minute and when I was done they both burst out laughing. "It's okay Baby your just vertically challenged." Colby said and I shot him a playful glare before starting the car and backing out. When we got to the mechanic shop my phone started ringing in Colby's pocket. He handed it to me and I seen it was Alex and I answered it. "Hello?" I said waiting for him to answer. "Hey, so Sunday I asked Adrian out and she said yeah. We are going out tonight for dinner and I don't know what to wear." He sounded really nervous. "Here talk to Colby." I held the phone out and Colby looked at me curiously. "He is going out with Adrian tonight for dinner and doesn't know what to wear." I said getting out to talk to Zoe while Colby talked Alex through his panic attack. "Hey Zoe, me and Colby are going out Friday and he said he has a friend and I was wondering if you would come along and be his date, I don't know who he is bringing and I didn't tell Colby who I am bringing either." I said and she smiled. "Yeah I guess I can do that, but I'm getting ready with you." She said while signing a paper and paying the mechanic. " that's fine, by the way you are gonna ride with me and his friend is gonna ride with him." She nodded and I told her bye and got back in my car. When I got in there Colby was taking selfies on my phone. He then leaned close to me and had me take selfies with him. We probably took 20, the last one was my favorite because it was one were we were kissing. I put it as my wallpaper and backed out. We went to SUMO and I got the grilled chicken and Colby got the same thing but he got a little thing of salad to go with it. When we got back to the car I decided to let him drive home. After he complained about my shortness he finally drove off. "Hey I told Zoe that we were having that date Friday because I have to watch my niece Saturday. I also told her that I wasn't telling you who I was bringing and I didn't know who you were bringing." He looked at me and smiled. Ok I'll talk to Sam tomorrow at school." Colby said while grabbing my hand.
When we got home we sat in the kitchen and ate. My sister came down and me and Colby gave her some of our food that we didn't eat, Ethan came down and was getting rude with Camry so I told her she could eat in my room and sleep in there with me tonight. It was about 10:15 and my parents got home. I was getting ready to walk Colby out when my dad decided to talk to him. "So if you and my daughter decide to... Ya know... *cough cough* just be safe and wear a con-" "DAD!!" I yelled covering his mouth. "We haven't even been dating a week yet. Chill." I said taking my hand off his mouth. "Just promise if you do, that you'll be safe with my daughter." My dad said trying to whisper to Colby. Colby had a blush across his face, "yes sir, I promise." He said and my dad shook his hand and smiled. When we got outside I laughed awkwardly. "Sorry about my dad he's kinda different in the parenting department." He looked down at me and kissed me. "I think it's sweet he cares about you, and he's a really nice guy." I smiled and nodded. "Yeah I am pretty lucky." I said smiling. He pulled me in for another kiss, after a few seconds he pulled away and pulled me into a hug. "I had a lot of fun today, I liked getting to spend time with you, and talk, and you know the kissing was pretty fun too, that was one of my favorite parts." He said and I looked up at him and smiled. "I had fun too, we will have to do it again sometime boyfriend of mine." He kissed my nose "goodnight my beautiful girlfriend." I hugged him once more and gave him a small kiss. "Goodnight Babe." We finally pulled away and I watched as he walked across the street and he blew me a kiss before we both went into our houses.
