Chapter eight

The week went by pretty quick, everyone came over Wednesday and hung out we went to the mall yesterday (Thursday) and the guys did another vine, and today at school was pretty boring, its Friday so most of my teachers decided we should have pop quiz. Which I expected because they do it almost every Friday. Now I'm at home and Alex is here telling me about his little crush on Adrian.

"I wanna tell her but I'm scared. Like what if she doesn't like me." I just laughed and handed him the snack I was making him. "Trust me dude she likes you, I can see it when y'all are goofing around." I said making him blush. "You should ask her out on a date, I bet she would be really excited." I said then taking a bite of my sandwich. "I'll think about it, I'm still nervous." I didn't wanna just tell Alex but Adrian told me she liked him at the mall yesterday. "So I heard you have a date with Colby tomorrow." I looked up at Alex and he had a huge smile on his face. "Yeah, I do. He is taking me to a restaurant down town." He reached over and hugged me. "I'm happy for you Tess, and even though he's one of my best friends I will kill him if he hurts you. You are like a sister to me." I giggled and hugged him back. "Thanks Alex." When I let go he checked his phone seeing a text from his mom saying it was time to go home. I mean it was 5:30 and they were probably about to have supper. "Hey I'm having a cookout Sunday since it's supposed to be one of the last warm days, we are swimming and stuff so if you wanna come you can. I'm inviting the others too." He said walking to the door. "Thanks, yeah I'll be there. Oh and my dad told me to have your dad call him about playing golf next week or something" I said he nodded and walked out the door, I waved and shut it making sure to lock it. I can't believe the warm weather is about to be gone. It's the end of September, the 24th to be exact I snapped out of my thoughts when I got a text from Colby.

(Text convo)
Colby: Hello beautiful
Me: Hey Handsome what's up?
Colby: Nothing just started thinking about how excited I am about our date tomorrow.
Me: I'm excited to, and a little nervous tbh.
Colby: Don't be nervous around me, there's nothing to worry about.
Me: What am I supposed to wear? And what time are we going?
Colby: Well I guess you could say dressy/party/casual. If that even makes since lol. And I'm gonna pick you up at 7:00pm is that ok for you?
Me: Okay and yeah that's great for me.
Colby: alright well I'm gonna go, I've gotta get my things ready for tomorrow.
Colby: Goodnight, sweet dreams
Me: Goodnight Colby, sweet dreams.

"TESSA COME DOWNSTAIRS PLEASE!" I jumped at the sound of my mom banging and yelling at me through the door. I pulled my hair up into a messy bun and I was still in a pair of spandex shorts and a loose crop top, I shrugged at my reflection and and looked at my phone 1pm. I really need to stop seeping so late. I walked downstairs and seen my sister, my niece and my brother in-law sitting in the living room. "Oh hello Kimberly, Aunt Tess is happy to see you." I said to my baby niece and gave my sister a small hug. "What did you need mom?" I asked while getting a apple out of the kitchen and coming back to the living room. "Oh well I wanted to tell you that Camry, Ethan, and Kimberly are staying with us till next weekend." I about chocked on the apple I had in my mouth, and earned a laugh from Ethan. I shot him a death glare before replying to my mom. "Okay whatever, I'm going out tonight by the way." They all looked at me, "are you and Zoe going to a party?" My mom questioned me. "No it's not with Zoe. You know Colby from next door?" She nodded for me to continue. "Well he asked me on a date and we are going for dinner tonight." She smiled at me. "Oh honey that's great. I'm so glad you are finally getting over Chance." I winced at the name she just said to me. Chance was my ex boyfriend. After I gave up on talking to Colby I met this guy Chance in the summer before my sophomore year. He was great at first and I fell head over heals in love with him, and then he changed after our one year he started hitting me and then one night he went out to a party got drunk and called me over. When I got there him and 2 of his friends took advantage of me. I wiped the tear that managed to slip it's way out and smiled. "Yeah, I've gotta let go someday. And Colby is really nice." She smiled and I threw the rest of my apple away. "Honey you haven't eaten much aren't you hungry?" My mom asked concern in her voice. "I lost my appetite." Is all I said before turning and heading upstairs.

I jumped into the shower once I got there. I was probably in there for and hour and a half. When I got out it was 3:00pm. I parted my hair and went through my clothes while I waited for my hair to dry. I decided to play music while looking for something to wear. The first song that played was 'Last Night' by Lucy Spraggan. That song was upbeat and always made me smile. I sang along as it began.
"Last night I told ya I loved ya, woke up blamed it on the vodka. I genuinely thought I was dying, and I could see that smile you were hiding. Last night I told you I need ya, that's the last time I drink tequila." I walked back over to my closet and picked through my clothes. I finally decided on a high waisted black skirt that stopped about mid thigh, a black short sleeved crop top, and for the shoes I had a pair of black boot wedges. I liked wedges more than hills because they are easy to get around in, and were slightly more casual. I changed into the outfit and  put my silver bangle on my right arm. That took about an hour to find my clothes, then another hour for my hair to dry. It was now 5:00pm. I decided to add a few extra curls to my hair to make it look a little more fancy, I plugged my wand thing in and I heard a knock on my door. "Come in." I yelled while starting to curl my hair. I looked in the mirror and seen my sister come in with Kimberly and she sat on my bed. "Oh wow your room is a lot different." She said looking around. Last time she was in my room I had a tiny bed, pink walls, and childish stuff everywhere, I finally re modeled my room over the summer. I painted my walls a grey color, took out my carpets and had hardwood floors put in, and I have an elegant glass chandelier in the middle of my room. Plus all my furniture was new. "Yeah dad paid to re model since I was going into my senior year." I had finally finished my hair since I only had to put a few curls in. I now started doing my makeup. "Oh that's cool, so you're going out with that Colby kid tonight." She smirked at me. I smiled back, I am glad when we get to talk. We don't get along often anymore so it's nice when we do. She knew I've liked him since I was in 9th grade. "Yeah, he asked me out Sunday. Him, Sam, Alex, Adrian, and Zoe stayed the night Saturday and he asked me before he went home." I said finishing my foundation and contouring, and starting my smokey eye makeup and winged eyeliner. "Wow mom would never have let me had guys over. Actually she never let me have anyone other than Brianna." She said picking up a bottle and feeding Kimberly. "Yeah mom doesn't care what I do anymore." I said and Camry laughed. She knew it was true. I finished my look with a dark nude/pink MATTE lipstick and added a little blush. It was 6:47pm, which meant Colby was gonna be here soon. "Hey, can you watch Kimberly for me next Saturday night so I can go out with mom and dad? They are talking off that night to spend time with me." I rolled my eyes, I knew there was a reason she was being nice. "Yeah I'll watch little Kimmy." I said getting up and checking myself in the mirror. "Thanks, and you look good tonight." I smiled back at her thanked her and grabbed my purse throwing my keys, phone, wallet, and charger in it. Then walked out to go to her room and I went downstairs to wait for Colby. It was 6:54 so he was gonna be here soon. I went and sat in the living room and Ethan came in. "Wow you look like a hoe, what can you not get a guy unless you dress like a skank." He said picking at the end of my skirt. "Don't touch me or I swear to go-"
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
Ethan walked upstairs and I went to the door and opened it to find a very Attractive Colby standing there.
