--Devyn's POV--
"Hey! Nobody move!" The cops yelled as I got pushed back by a stampede of partiers running out the back door.
I stood there in panic having no idea what to do; I could not get arrested. I knew I had to get out and yet I felt frozen. It felt as if my body had shut down and my mind was the only thing working.
As the thoughts of being in a cell yet again flooded my mind I felt an arm pull me. I snapped out of my horror filled visions and realized Calum was intently staring at me with noticeable concern on his face.
"Devyn? Devyn?! Snap out of it."
"Huh... What?"
"Come on we...we just gotta get out of here...like now!"
I quickly shook my head as the cops began walking towards the spot in which we stood. As soon as they made eye contact with us I didn't hesitate to run behind Calum, Michael, and Luke.
We ran into a small area that contained multiple trees and bushes. With the majority of the cops still in the house we only had to lose the two that followed us out. I didn't know the area very well so I decided to wing it and keep running in the direction we were currently going. As I heard the sound of police boots trailing we made a sharp turn and slid into some bushes that were left in the shadows casted by the trees. While crouching in the bushes I pulled out my phone to call Al.
"Your call has been forwarded to an automatic voice message system. 'Alaska' is not available please leave a message after the tone."
Ugh, what the fuck?! Not knowing what else to do I decided to just leave her a message.
I whisper yelled into my phone, "What the fuck, Alaska?! Answer your god damn phone! Like now!"
As I took the phone away from my ear I realized the cops had passed us by and were no longer in sight. Getting off the ground I dusted off my black skinny jeans and slid my phone into my back pocket.
"So what do we do now? Are we just going to wait here for the cops to come back around and bust all of us for underage drinking?" Michael asked.
The the four of us all exchanged looks laced with panic until all of their eyes landed on me. I felt myself blush and I automatically knew I was going to seem like a major ass.
"Ummm... Yeah well you see... I don't exactly know where I live," I said looking at the leaves and twigs that were all gathered in bunches on the floor.
"What do you mean 'I don't exactly know where I live'?" Luke asked giving me a look that made me feel really stupid.
"I'm so sorry... it's just well... like... I'm new an everything I haven't been all around the area... so I'm not really sure how to get to Al's apartment." I said feeling utterly horrible for not being able to help us out of our predicament.
"Well maybe you can try calling your sister," Calum said.
"I just did and it went straight to voicemail."
"Well can you try again, Devyn? That running really made me have to use the bathroom," Michael said shyly.
I pulled the phone out of my pocket and hit the redial button. All I heard was that damn recording again and that was all I heard the next five times I called her, each time leaving a message.
"No luck with your sister?" Calum asked. If it weren't for his irresistible Aussie accent I probably would have genuinely snapped at him for stating the obvious.
I maintained myself and simply shook my head seeing as I wasn't entirely sure I'd be able to contain my frustration.
"Okay, so what do you want to do?"
