Devyns POV

I woke up to my phone ringing and tried so hard to ignore it but couldn't. I picked up my hand and grabbed my ringing demon from the night stand while my head still rested on the pillow. I slid my thumb across the screen to answer without looking to see who was calling and I immediately regretted it.

"What!" I said into the phone pissed at whoever disturbed me.

"Excuse me?!" I recognized the voice and knew I was screwed. I quickly sat up with my back against the headboard and mentally slapped myself.

"Oh my gosh, mom. I'm so sorry."

"Oh, you will be. Devyn Dominguez, please do not tell me you and your sister are still sprawled out on your beds with drool on your faces."

I looked over at Alaska's bed to see that my mom's description of the way we slept was pretty on point. Of course I couldn't tell my mother that she was right seeing as she disapproved of sleeping past 9 am, even on the weekends.

"No mom as a matter a fact Alaska just called me for breakfast so I got to go."

"Oh before you go, Devyn, please let me talk to your sister I need to ask her something."

Oh crap. Think fast Dev! C'mon, c'mon.

"Hello? Devyn?"

"Umm well my phone is charging right now so I can't unplug it yet so umm you know I'll have her call you back when were done eating. Okay...okay bye mom." I said quickly before hastily hanging up my phone.

I didn't want to deal with that right now, I just wanted to go back to sleep.

I laid my head back down and set my phone on the nightstand. I tossed and turned for about 10 more minutes before picking my phone up and plugging my earphones in. I put them in my ears and played some soothing music.

It was a waste. I had this thing where if I was awake for more than 15 minutes I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep again until later in the day. There was no hope of me falling back asleep and I decided to shower. 20 minutes later I came out to find Al still passed out. I quickly got dressed and once I was done I decided it was time to wake her lazy ass up.

I grabbed her phone and put it next to her ear. I walked out of the room and dialed her number knowing that the ringtone would wake her.

About 10 seconds later 'Dance, Dance' by Fall Out Boy started to play loudly from the room followed by a thud.

"Devyn!!!" She yelled from the room and I was about to run when I got distracted by my phone ringing. This time I looked down at the screen to see who it was. I didn't recognize the number but decided to answer any way.

"Hello?"

"Hi, Devyn." I heard the accent and knew who it was.

I didn't feel like talking to him right after everything that happened yesterday but realized I couldn't very well hang up on him.

"Hey what's up?"

"Well umm we were wondering if you and Alaska would wanna hang out with us today."

"Umm I'm not to sure, Luke. Besides, aren't you guys leaving today?"

"Dev, I know you may not be too happy about what Cal told you yesterday, but the thing is he just didn't want to hurt you. He wants to leave things with you on a good note. Plus, I bet Ash wouldn't mind seeing Alaska again," he chuckled.
