--Alaska's POV--
I woke up feeling like I might puke; my head wasn't feeling so hot and I hid under the covers completely. I rolled over and came face to face with Devyn, who was wide awake.
"Aaaah!" I screamed.
We burst into giggles but I stopped when my head started to hurt.
"Ugh, I don't feel so hot," I confessed.
"Let's go to the kitchen and get you something," she said, getting out of the bed.
I was still in my clothes from last night and I desperately needed a shower.
"Let me shower first," I told her.
She nodded and laid back down on my bed, pulling out her phone. I know she was texting Calum, and I was happy that she was happy.
I grabbed clothes from one of the boxes, reminding myself to start unpacking later. Walking into the bathroom, I locked the door and turned on the shower. I felt relaxed and thought about my plans for the day.
Devyn and I were supposed to go to L.A. to pick up the rest of my stuff from home. I was doubting that would happen now, I felt too hungover to drive 4 hours. I would probably get carsick and Devyn is not allowed to drive my car.
I sighed, deciding that we'd just head home the next day. I got out of the shower and put my clothes on, leaving my hair in its natural state. I was too exhausted to be anything but lazy.
When I went to the kitchen, I saw my roommates and Devyn munching on various things. My stomach felt uneasy, but I ate a bagel anyway.
"We're going to the beach today, wanna come?" Carolin asked excitedly.
"It'll be fun," Rosie sang.
"Wanna go, Dev?" I asked.
She shrugged, probably hoping to hang out with Calum instead.
"You three go ahead," I said. "We'll catch up in a bit."
They left while Devyn hopped in the shower and I continued to force the bagel down. I decided to start unpacking to pass the time.
As I was almost done, I noticed Devyn was sitting next to me, helping me fold my clothes. I smiled her as we continued in silence.
I remember the cute sister moment we had before we went to sleep; we're getting along I guess and I didn't want to argue, mostly because I didn't have the strength.
"Do you wanna go to the beach?" I ask once we're done.
The room feels so much better without the boxes, I love having everything organized.
"Umm," she starts. "Can we.. I mean, can I invite the boys? Or at least Cal?"
I knew she was going to ask that, but I prayed she wouldn't; I made a fool of my drunk self two nights in a row and wasn't aiming for a third.
"Ummm," I spoke. "Well I don't mind Calum... and after last night I doubt the other boys will want to see me."
I chuckled nervously as she fell silent. Then she took out her phone to text Cal, I assume.
I started gathering my sunscreen, some snacks, and a book to take with me, Devyn did the same.
"He said he'll go," she said suddenly.
I nodded and was kind of sad knowing I'd be a third wheel.
"I guess we'll pick him up in half an hour, tell him to be ready," I said.
