Chapter 3:
Tuesday
"Beep Beep Beep," I looked over at my bedside table. My phone was open, my alarm still ringing. I barely got any sleep, falling asleep at about three am. And even then, it felt like I hadn't gotten any sleep, at all, my eyelids felt heavy.
"5:09," I rose up slightly to grab my phone and check the time.
I had set my alarm for 5:00 am, I had an exam in history today. I'd forgotten to study due to the events of yesterday. I hated waking up early. But Early morning time was the best time for homework, studying, writing, etc..
I squinted as my eyes began to settle into the bright light of my phone.
It was really cold in my room. My arms left the warmth of my blanket as I uncovered them to use my phone.
Thankfully, there was a tiny bit of light streaming in through the window. The moon lowering into daylight.
I got up, the chilly atmosphere starting to make my muscles ache. I removed the rest of my blanket off of me, revealing my legs. I was shivering by now.
Did I forget to close my windows?
I got up and walked to the light switch, turning it on, the light was a tiny bit too harsh to my eyes.
Skipping through all the morning essentials, I put on a sweatshirt, making myself warm as I walked downstairs for a glass of cold water.
All the lights were still off, my vision was hazy.
I turned on the small light at the bottom of the stairs, giving me enough direction to walk to the kitchen without tripping on my own feet.
I hated drinking water in the morning. It made me even more cold, and lightheaded. I felt like I was going to throw up. This cold water wasn't helping my sore throat anyways.
I walked back to my room, slightly faster now, with my half glass of water.
I checked the windows to see whether that's were the cold wind was seeking in from, but they were both closed. I got my history notes, graded exams from the past, and textbook, before getting back into my bed to study.
This was going to be a long morning. I currently had a B in history. Not bad you'd say, but I had to do better then a B. I was ready to invest all my time into school work if that's what was needed for that perfect four point O. However, I couldn't wait to get through today. I had about an hour and half left before I had to start getting ready for school. Should've woken up earlier.
"7:00"
I closed the lid of my laptop and put it on my bedside table and pushed aside some of the things that were on my bed, to get up and make my way towards the bathroom.
I looked tired and there were big bags under my eyes. Rubbing my face with my hands, I splashed some cold water onto my face and untied my bun before undressing to step into the shower.
I stood under the hot water for a few minutes before turning the water to the cold side. The hot water would only make me sleepier. Cold water came down on me, making my tired muscles even more anxious. It relieved the pain at the same time.
I got out the shower at 7:30, giving me about fifteen minutes to get ready.
I blow dried my hair and tried to put on a black jumper and a pair of gray joggers at the same time. I couldn't be late to school today.
