"Without losing a piece of me
How do I get to heaven?
Without changing a part of me
How do I get to heaven?
All my time is wasted
Feeling like my heart's mistaken, oh
So if I'm losing a piece of me
Maybe I don't want heaven?" - Troye SivanDedicated to cold_lady19,
I can't put my respect for her writing and work into words because it's just.. I don't even know. Her books were my very first books on Wattpad and she got me into reading and writing and ever since I read My Wattpad Love, I've been wanting to write this book so thank you so much!! She's amazing and truly a great writer, I hope she sees this because that would be the coolest thing ever.
Sorry for the long A/N, enjoy the chapter!
Chapter 10:
Tuesday:
Jaiden was the first to find out about my job at Dairy Star and he said he'd stop by today so I walked to the ice cream parlor with a huge grin on my face after dropping my school stuff at home.
I greeted all my new co workers and put on my cute Dairy Star apron. According to the staff, they usually interviewed and trained new employees but I was an exception since they were in deep need of someone since the place was extremely busy. They did, however give me a quick run down of the place and simple guidelines for everything. It was easy and the perfect job.
I had work 4pm to 10pm on Sun-Fri, and an hour break from 7 to 8.
For the first half of my shift, I didn't do much but clean, clean the tables and the back area where all the cool ice cream machinery sat.

It was around seven thirty now and I threw away my ziploc bag that held a sandwich minutes before. Me and this other girl seemed to be the only staff at the parlor, either everyone else was on break or out and about running parlor related errands. The other girl was in the storage, organizing and cleaning. I think she's new as well
I washed my hands and was wiping them when I heard the little ding sound. There was a ringer at the window for when there was no one up front. I thought that the 'temporarily closed" sign was up, I checked and surely the "open" side was facing inside ways meaning the 'temporarily closed" was facing outwards.
I walked out and without opening the window, announced, "We're temporarily closed." I waited and the ding sounded again. Did they not get it? This was my first day and even though it was a easy job, I was still scared of messing up because in the end of the day, it would come back to bite my work ethic.
I opened the window, and on the other side, stood Kris and a very small being next to him. All I could see was a head full of hair and two wondering big eyes, how cute. I was sort of surprised to find him here, it felt weird for some reason. Kris strolling out for ice cream at eight in the evening. I really don't know.
I shook the thoughts out of my head and spoke, "Did you not see the temporarily closed sign?" I pointed towards it.
"KM, I want a biiiggggg chocolate ice cream cone." A soft voice spoke, tugging at his left hand. KM? Interesting, this must be his sister or something.
