Chapter 8:
Saturday
"HEY WAKE UP!!!" Delilah screamed into my ear and ripped my blankets off of me. I felt a sense of deja vu.
"go away" I mumbled and turned to face the other way.
Before I knew it, cold water hit me square in the face and without thinking twice, I rang up from bed and smacked Delilah as hard as I could with my pillow. And that was pretty hard considering it was a pillow.
She started laughing and ran out of the room, I ran after her but as soon as I followed, she flung another glass of freezing water at me and ran down the stairs.
I was not happy, to say the least. I went back into the room, closed the door, and locked it. I wanted to go back to sleep but I was freezing at this point.
I decided to wind up my room before getting ready. I dropped the dress from last night in the laundry hamper, which was on the floor, organized my shoes, and lastly made my bed before going into the bathroom.
I got into the shower and mentally cursed at myself for forgetting to take off my mascara last night. I was practically ripping out my eyelashes trying to get it all out. I brushed my teeth, and went on with my shower.
When I got out, I blew dried my hair, and I only used any kind heat on my hair once in a while, this was one of those times, I straightened it since it was Saturday and Delilah had something planned, hence her coming over before I even woke up. Plus, I felt like dolling up today.
After moisturizing and putting on concealer, mascara and eyeliner, I got dressed.
Ditching the sweats, I went for simple blue jeans, white cropped shirt, and a pastel pink and white flannel, and white slip on vans. I grabbed my phone and headed down.
Cory seemed to be the only person home besides me and Delilah.
Delilah was on her phone on the couch and Cory on his laptop at the dinning table.
"Cory, where's mom and dad?" I asked and checked the fridge.
"I don't know, they both left early." He typed away on his laptop and I grabbed a granola bar and went over to Delilah.
"So, why'd you wake me up so early?" I asked and sat down next to her.
"Early? It's about to be two PM." She emphasized PM.
"Answer my question* I said and bit into my granola bar. I was starting to hate these.
"We're going on a date tonight!" She chirped.
"We're?"I gave her a pointed expression.
"Yeah, double date."
"But I don-" She cut me off,
"Blind date. Ace is bringing a friend, so I'm taking you." She grinned and went back to her phone.
I didn't like blind dates. "You wish, I'm not coming." I turned the TV on.
"You have to, you can't back out, plus you'll like his friend. He's cute, friendly, he's into art too, you guys will get along really well.
"What if we don't, I'll be stuck with someone I don't like while you snog Zachary."
