"I didn't even know she would be so-scared. I'm such a mess!" Nate kicked the wall with the anger that filled up inside him.
"She'll come back. You know better about her-trust me," Gifta sighed. "I honestly think that-the Lucio guy you asked her about... I told her so many times that he must have loved her so much."
"Are you serious? How much of a psycho should a guy be to make a girl shake with fear just by hearing his name, causing her to run away like this? And you still think he-"
"Nate. He looks for her all over town. Everyday. The posters are still up," Gifta calmed him down.
"You never know why he wants her back. Maybe he loves her and wants to tell her how sorry he is for being a jerk who deserves her leaving him. Maybe he just wants her for himself-and if that's so, I'll hunt tha selfish bastard down," Nate landed another hit on the wall with his foot.
"Maybe you're just afraid of competition," Gifta slowly smiled.
"Excuse me?"
"Maybe you're just afraid that Dianne would run into him, realizing that he has become a much better guy, and she will walk away from your life," Gifta explained. Nate frowned. For someone without a spouse or a family, she sure knew a lot about love.
Wait-love?
Ah yeah, he forgot when he had finally concluded that he truly loved Dianne.
"If that ever happens, Aunt Gifta," Nate's jaws gnashed under his rough voice, "I'll make sure I'll do anything I can to bring her back to me."
