"No, not this one!"

"Okay, okay," Nate laughed as he tuned the radio again to find a better channel. Being in the open air disrupted the frequencies, and Nate had to turn the volume down because it was now eight at night. He stopped when he finally found a slightly audible channel playing a song. "This will do."

"It's kinda romantic. Cheesy... romantic," Dianne said, drowned in the words of the soft melody. She was startled when Nate stood up, reaching her hand out to her.

"Oh God, no..."

"Come on! Nobody can see us here. Dance with me?"

Although hesitant, Dianne stood up and circled her hands around Nate's neck. Feeling his arms around her waist, she moved closer, and as their bodies touched, they swayed with the rhythm.

I don't know how you do what you do

I'm so in love with you,

It just keeps getting better

"So will you go back home after this?" Dianne asked as she rested her head on Nate's shoulder.

"Mmm-maybe tomorrow morning would be a better time to leave," Nate assured her.

"Or never at all?" Dianne slowly said, facing him. "I know this place is not much, but..."

"It will be my pleasure."

"Really? Nate..."

"I honestly-can't... stand another goodbye. Not after Namiri Island. Not after this, too," Nate held Dianne tighter and kissed her.

He did not have to wait for an answer. As their lips moved in unison, hands caressing each others' skin without desiring anything more than that, he knew she would agree.

I wanna spend the rest of my life

with you by my side

Forever and ever
