"I missed this place-so much."

Dianne inhaled deeply, letting the tranquil seashore air fill her lungs. The smell of saltwater and sand fused into a pleasant aroma that smelled so much like home to her. Being in Namiri Island with Nate was great, but being there with Devon, with the very person she had spent most of her time with, felt so different.

With Nate, it was a romantic getaway. Her heart broke when she could not find Devon, but just with the touch of his hands, Nate turned it around into something unforgettable. And indescribable.

And now, Devon was with finally with her-they took the earliest ferry to Namiri just an hour after the sun had fully risen.

They were home.

"I've missed you," Devon smiled as he pushed the door into their hut open. His jaw dropped slightly at the sight of its interior. "It wasn't like this when I left."

"I..." Dianne followed her twin inside, a shy expression forming on her face. "I gotta tell you something about it."

"Does this involve a guy and a very interesting love story?" Devon understood the colour of Dianne's twinkling eyes. Dianne giggled and mouthed a "yes".

He raised his eyebrows, pulling Dianne into the corner of their hut where they used to spend their entire childhood telling stories and playing with firecrackers, and as they crossed their legs and sat face to face, Dianne spilled her entire heart out to Devon.

Just like they used to.
