"It was-just-really cold up there!" Dianne caught her breath as she shivered with rain water all over her body. Not knowing whether to laugh or be worried, Nate took his tuxedo off and coated it around Dianne. He wrapped his hands around hers and blew, hoping to warm her as much as he could.
"I-I'm really sorry. Should've checked the weather forecast," Nate smiled guiltily. "Want some hot chocolate?"
"No no, stay with me," Dianne drowned herself into Nate's arms and hugged him. She started laughing as she remembered how foolish they must have been to the neighbors who heard them screaming. "We... really should find another spot to date, shouldn't we?"
"Soon we'll only be confined to this room," Nate replied.
"Or we can run away-to Namiri-to somewhere nobody can see us," Dianne suggested. "That would be... fun."
"We can make some fun here too," Nate stayed on his opinion, lifting Dianne slightly off the ground and brought her to the bed. He kissed her again-each of them knew they would never have enough of each other. Dianne breathed and bit her lip as Nate went to her neck.
"Not the right time?" Nate stopped and stared at her. Dianne shook her head and smiled. Her body froze as she suddenly remembered Lucio.
If it was Lucio right now, he wouldn't ever listen to her. He was a monster. He would call her out for being unhelpful to him, and he would continue doing what he wanted to do anyway.
He did not care about her-he just spread those flyers all over town so he could have his daily night fun again.
She would never come back to him.
Ever.
"Should've gone with hot chocolate," Nate laughed as he went to the kitchen. Dianne followed him and prepared some mugs. "But you should lay beside me tonight. It's really cold," she pleaded.
"Aye aye, Captain," Nate answered as he poured some hot chocolate into Dianne's mug. He suddenly remembered something that should have been done many days ago. "Since-we're... practically together now-can I ask you something?"
"Yea?" Dianne held the mug in her hands, letting its warmth run through her skin.
"I didn't mean to-be nosy or anything, but... Who is Lucio Franc?"
Nate turned to Dianne, realizing that her hands shook so badly that the mug she was holding shattered to the floor.
And the bed of bright clouds Dianne had been floating on since Nate arrived just crashed to the ground into nothingness.
