Your POV:
I can't stand this. This feeling is horrible. I don't even know why I am doing this. No, wait, now I remember......
Jin.
No, it is not because of him. He is really kind to me. But, the people in his surroundings are not....
I am the younger sister of one of the members of the famous K-pop group BTS. I am Suga's younger sister. Once, Suga brought the members of his group over for dinner, which is when I met Jin. He was so kind and I could not help but think that he is super adorable. We became really good friends.
People started to find out about me. They saw me from time to time on concerts near the members, cheering them on. Once, after a concert, I gave my brother a hug after they had a successful concert and Jin opened his arms to give me a hug as well. I didn't mind. He is a good friend, why would I say no. Some people saw that and I started to have a hard time. Quite a few girls started sending me hateful emails and messages. I am finishing my last year of school in a new place and I am getting bullied terribly.
About two months ago, I moved into the BTS dorm because it is closer to the university I want to go too. It was really fun, but lately I have been noticing Jin acting strangely. It started a week before they left for their tour. Jin started avoiding me. I don't know why. We planning were to go out to dinner, all of us, and Jin was waiting for me in my room, while I was changing in the bathroom. When I came out, Jin had a very serious expression on and looked very unhappy. When I asked him what was wrong, he started acting normally and went back to his soft expression, but he was a bit out of it the whole evening. When they left for their tour, everyone gave me a goodbye hug, except for him....
It broke my heart a bit. My bullies keep calling me fat and ugly. At first I kept telling myself that they are just being mean, they are jealous, but with no one to go to, no friends I could tell this too, I started to believe it. It started with weird diets and has ended with bulimia and anorexia. I have lost a terrifying amount of weight and I can't keep down a meal for too long, but I still don't feel thin or beautiful. It is terrible.
Bts should be back today. I need to get up and cook something for them, but I can hardly muster up the strength to do anything.
You find the strength to cook a nice dinner for the boys.
You hear the door opening and familiar voices discussing something in the hallway. You slowly trudge towards the voices and smile when you see their tired smiling faces. They quickly hug you, all but Jin, and go towards the smell of food. Jin looks up at you with an unreadable look on his face, almost as if he is troubled by something. He slowly comes closer to you and gives you a hug. When his arms wrap around your waist, he flinches. You take that as a sign that he can't stand even just hugging you, when in reality he is shocked by how skinny and fragile you have become in just a few weeks. You can hardly hold in your tears and quickly break the hug and run into your room.
About half an hour passes and the tears have just stopped flowing down your cheeks and you are slowly drifting of to sleep, when you hear someone entering your room.
You pretend to be asleep. You can feel the bed dip and someone sits down right next to you.
Who is it? Who is in my room?
They take your hand and gently hold it, playing with the ring that Jin got you for your birthday. You had really wanted it and he bought it for you as a surprise. That memory made a fresh tear roll down your cheek.
You feel them wiping away your tear and gently touching your face. You then feel the person come closer and feel a light kiss being pressed to your forehead. You quickly open your eyes and are met with Jin's gaze. You suddenly notice his eyes are puffy and red, as if he had been crying and you move closer to him, hugging him tight. You don't know what caused Jin's sadness, but seeing his tears made you unable to stop your own. He wraps his arms tightly around your waist and you can feel him trembling, trying to hold it in as much as possible.
"O-Oppa, please, t-tell me what h-happened."
You can hardly talk through the sobs and hiccups. He shakes his head no and looks up and you, cupping your face with his hands and staring sadly into your eyes.
"I want to help you, Oppa."
"Then answer my question, (Name)."
"Yes?"
"Can you forgive me?"
"Forgive you for what?"
"I couldn't stop them. I didn't know what to do. I tried avoiding you, but they didn't stop, and now you have become so...fragile. And it is all because of me."
"W-Where d-did you get s-such and idea? I-I am just f-fine."
"Don't lie! You have lost too much weight too fast. That can't be healthy. I started noticing before we left that you would always leave right after your meal and come back smelling like you had just brushed your teeth. I accidentally saw the hate messages in your phone and started carefully looking after you and noticed how much energy you were putting into different diets and how you were wasting away in front of me. I didn't know how to help you. I thought that if I avoid you, that the fans would leave you alone, but I can't stand seeing you torture yourself this way. I couldn't stand being away from you. When I met you, I started having so much fun, and when I tried avoiding you, my life felt incomplete. I understood the feeling I developed for you, but it will bring you even more trouble, so I will surpress it, but I am begging you, please stop."
He kneels down on the floor in front of your bed and puts your hand over his heart, looking up at you with a pleading expression. You are to surprised for words, so you simply jump at him with another hug, holding on to him for dear life, with your tiny hands gripping his shirt.
"Oppa, I don't care what they think, but they constantly tell me that you are the one who thinks I am fat and ugly. That is the only reason they have such an effect on me. They know that your opinion means a lot to me and they use it to their advantage."
"My opinion?"
"Oppa, I know that our friendship may be ruined after this, but I want to tell you this....I love you....."
He tenses in you embrace and slowly lets you go. You think that he is about to reject you, so you lower your head and wait for him to leave, but he lifts your chin with his finger and looks you in the eyes.
"(Name), can I kiss you?"
You stare at him in surprise, but manage to lightly nod your head.
He kisses you firmly on the lips and hugs you tight. You want to ask, but you don't know what to say. You hide your face in his broad chest and meekly whisper.
"Oppa?"
"I love you too, (Name)."
"But...."
"No buts, (Name). You are kind, funny, beautiful and don't believe otherwise. I know better than them what I think of you and I think that you are the most amazing person and I would be honored if you would agree to be my girlfriend."
His words touch your heart and you hide our face in his neck, so he can't see your fresh tears, but he can feel them soaking his shirt and he starts to kiss your forehead, cheeks, nose, eyelids and lips, until you calm down.
His warm lips and kind eyes calm you down and now you two are sitting on your bed, with you in his lap. His embrace is making you sleepy and your eyes begin to droop. You feel his breath near you ear.
"Sleep, (Name). Sweet dreams."
You head rests in the crook of his neck, with his check against yours, and you close your eyes. You fall asleep knowing that He thinks you are beautiful. He loves you.
You fall asleep happy.
