I couldn’t take the cold anymore, not even 5minutes have passed while getting up shoving the snow off I begin to walk, crossing my arms and tucking my hair in my hoody. Looking back and forth, I completely stopped. I could barely see anything from this snow storm but I began to walk. I called out for help, hoping and praying someone can fine me or better yet finding them. My nose became like popsicles, deciding to warm them with my hands as I started to breath heavily.  I fell on my knees.

“Please! Is anybody there?! Can anyone help me! Hello!...Hello….hello”.

“Why did I run away you big dummy”.

Slowly getting up, my feet dragging to the snow and my eyes started losing its visions. Automatically, my body dropped to the grown, still breathing slowly, my body is to numb for any forceful movement I tried to do. Slowly and steady my body shifted towards the creek.

I guess this is it? They are going to fine my body underneath the creek, unwillingly to force my body out. “I’m sorry dad… I’m sorry mom... I love you both.”

Suddenly, I felt a strong grip holding my jacket while caring me out as it walked. What an odd way to carry me but this will do. I blacked out and woke up to a near strong heater, a very warm heater, a big warm blanket. I can’t believe I was back home while cuddling beneath the blanket.

“Hmmm… What is that smell? And why do I keep hearing this big throbbing sound? It sounds like a heart beating.” While I gazed around, I realize I was never in my room to begin with.

“Where am I?” I can barely see anything besides the fire glowing from the distance. Curious yet strange I started hearing someone breathing. I picked up a stick where the fire held and started walking towards the sound of someone breath.

My eyes widen at the beast in front of me, I was about to scream but simply dropped the stick and covered my mouth. Blinking, hoping it was a dream but it wasn’t a dream. I picked up the stick slowly and walked around the beast, hoping not to wake it. Looking around for anywhere to escape but the beast was blocking my only route.

“Why didn’t the beast eat me?”

Look more like a wolf but the size of a bear.

“Are wolves supposed to be this big? Good golly what has this wolf been eating?” I waved my hands in disgust and pinched my nosed tight. I looked down closely to the fire place; I’ve notice some burn ribs laying down by the fire. My stomach growled…I cover my stomach with my hands.

“Shut up stomach.” I whisper to my tummy and grabbed one. Biting down slowly not to make a sound.

“Mmmm..Soo good.” Quickly finished one and I grabbed another. Then I stopped, up ahead from the darkness I saw a shadow moving and swiftly the sun came out. I smiled but completely forgot about the wolf behind me as I gulped down the last piece. I didn’t want to look back but I did it anyway. Never realize how big the wolf was and how small I was, afraid to move. Gazing into its deep blue eyes, complied to the softness and warmth. For some reason I felt this wolf kept me safe from the blizzard snow storm. Unknowing to my reaction, I stuck out my hand with a slice of warm rib to the wolf. The wolf looked at me curiously and toke the rib off my hands as the wolf devoured it.

“Wow, you must have been hungry huh?” I looked at the wolf.

The wolf shook its head. I looked at the wolf curiously and shocked.

“Can you understand me?” I replied to the wolf.

The wolf nodded.

“Wow, now I know I am going crazy. I’m talking to a wolf! Must have hit my head pretty harder than I thought.” The wolf looked at me as if the wolf understood every bit of last word.

“Did you do all of this for me? Were you the one who saved me? And bandaged me?” The wolf nodded slowly again.

“How?” I looked at the wolf more closely than ever.

The wolf got up and grabbed some old clothes, leaped down the rocks and stood at the center of the woods enough for me to see.

“What are you up too?” I decided to climb down the rocks, gently and gripping the edge tightly. The wolf barked at me and came closely. I stopped moving and looked at the wolf.

“Don’t worry, I won’t fall!” I yelled back.

“Can’t believe I’m talking to an animal.” As I steady myself along the way. The wolf barked at me harshly this time.

“Jezz..Alright I’ll stop.” I turned around and faced the wolf even though I was close to the ground.

I looked at the wolf closely, the fur started to disappear, crouching down, and began to shrink its original size.

“No way…” My last shocking reply.

“You’re…..you’re…uh….a ..girl…a woman a human!”

Lost with words, lost with confusing, so many question.

“Are fairies real? Do wizards exist?” Next thing I knew I slipped on a rock as I screamed.

“Don’t worry, you’re safe.” She replied.

I looked at her with lost and happiness.

“Thank-you.” I replied as she gently put me down.

“Sooo, what exactly are you? I mean I do thank-you for saving me back there. Well twice” as I laughed lightly.

“I actually don’t know myself. It’s a long story, by the way why were you out here? In a snow storm?” She looked at me odd.

“Well ya see?” as I laughed then sign. “I ran away from home. I was going to come back! I swear! But I somewhat got lost along the way.”

“You should be careful next time. You don’t know what kind of things are running around here in the woods besides me.” She looked at me as if scolding me. I never had a big sister but knowing what it feels like wasn’t good yet a safe feeling. Deciding to change the subject.

“I’m Conner Dwelly by the way. Nice to meet you! Umm..you might want to put on some clothes.” I whispered the last sentence to her.

“Wellbeing in my wolf form, I simply forget the feeling of human clothes.” As she quickly laughed and zipped up her pants.

“I’m Kris.” She replied.

“Kris what?” I replied curious.

“Just Kris, that’s all you need to know from me.” She softly smiles and started to walk.

“Where you going?” I replied.

“I’m taking you back, back home.” She looked at me and grabs my hands.

“Wait. No wait!” I stopped while looking at her.

“You got to be joking right? You can’t go into town looking like that?” While I point out the obvious of her dirty clothes.

“I’m not staying here. I was simply jus passing by until I ran into you. You needed my help. Now, you’re fine.” Kris replied.

I looked at her with sad eyes. “Please don’t go. I barely made a new friend. A really cool friend.”

“I can’t stay, Conner. This place isn’t my world.” Kris looked at me with concern eyes.

I sign. “Well, it was nice meeting you Kris”. We walked together. “Wait, what about your things up in the cave.”

“I’ll get it back later once I drop you off.” She never stopped nor looked behind. Always moving forward. What kind of life did Kris have? I wanted her to stay. If my dad found out what she really is, the whole town will go on a hunting trip. I can’t allow to let anyone know about my secret.

“Hey Kris?” I whispered

“Ya, what’s up?” she replied as she smiled.

“You’re secret is safe with me too”. I looked at her. She stopped and I looked back at her. “What is it Kris?”.

“I’m really glad I met you too” she smiled as a tear dropped down her cheek.
