Chapter 6: I'll seek you out

Connor’s POV

I was searching through the section of mythology about werewolves; all of a sudden I saw Kris ran out the store. Putting the book down while rushing towards her and worried, is she going to form again? Not in front of everyone! How can I help her not to form? Is this an uncontrollably power she can’t hold? Maybe water or a bag of ice will cool her down as I tried to comfort her. Telling her I’ll be back, I ran as fast as I can to a store where they’ll hand you some free water. The grocery store will do! Asking the nice lady if she can give me some water since I’m really thirst, but with a surprise I finally feel this intense grip on my arm with a simple swing I looked in shocked.

“CONNOR!! CONNOR!! Oh my baby girl is alright! I’d thought I lost you.” While she started crying hugging me so tight.

“Mom..to tight..to tight..” I replied with a struggle to fight back

“Oh sorry…I..I thought you were….ooh please don’t ever leave again.” While sobbing in tears

“Mom. I’m alight. See?” as I twirled in front of her while smiling.

“..but how?...when did you …? Why didn’t you come straight home?” She looked confuse, lost with words and with answers that will have to wait..

Quickly, I hear an ambulance near…ooh no…Kris? I whispered her name out while I ran out the grocery store.

“Wait..hold on? I just got you back, you have a fever Connor.” As she grabbed my hand.

“Let go!! Let go!!!” I shouted

“What is going on with you, Connor?” she looked at me confuse and concern “Perhaps we should go to the hospital. Come on? We’re almost there. I’ll take care of you more often.”

“Noo!! Let go!! Please I have to save her!! Please let go!!” I suddenly slipped away fallen to the ground and running after Kris.

“Connor!! …” while she chased after me. I didn’t care; I passed by the crowed of people surrounding the book store. I looked around quickly, breathing heavily, high and low calling out her name.

“Kris! Kris! Where are you?!” I started shouting while tears dripped down my cold cheek

“Please don’t go! Kris! Where..are..you..” collapsing to my knees, my mom covered me with her warm jacket. We all heard people talking. One man said “I tried to help her but she ran away”, another said “I thought she was choking”, a woman behind us said “I saw her coming out of the woods where the snow storm had hit pretty hard. She must have caught a bad fever or something.”

Then I heard a whisper from my mom “Did this person saved you from the snow storm?” I nodded without a single word.  “Maybe we should go look for her?” I looked up at her with tears in my eyes while nodding. “Yes… lets go look for her now.”

“Well, you stay in with your dad back home.” She said as I stood off the ground

“No, I’m coming with you.” Clearing my throat

Seth’s POV

            “Oh man! What do we do now guys? She looks like she is about to form in front of everyone.” Jake tried to think of a way while my sister looked at her worried. “Wow! Where she’s going now?” she shove people out of the way and ran into the woods, away from the crowd. Everyone looked shocked, while we went around the back and chased after her not making a scene. I looked at Jake. “Now do we change?” I said

“Wait until she forms.”  Jake said

Beneath the forest we heard her formed, and without an order Jake wolf formed first while Leah and I did the same. We surrounded her, circling around her, and hoping she won’t escape this time.
