Kris’s POV

La-Push under goes a radical transformation in the spring, getting around on the ground is easier but there still out of territory to cover. I looked different in my wolf form since I’ve began to shed my winter coat. My fur seemed to fade. It’s nice to be reminded that I’m far more than just a killer.  But this doesn’t get me any closer of having the cure. Best chance is following their ways. In the spring provides new hunting for the wolves. However I refuse to form out of anger, heck. I was never angry to begin with. I did have the knack of keeping an eye on Conner from the distance in my wolf form. She’s always getting herself into danger. Like the time she slipped in the woods the end of winter seasoning. I formed into my wolf with a burst of speed, just in time, crushing between a few trees downhill, yet I manage to steady myself with a tightly grip on her jacket. It was quiet a nasty slip she toke. I later found out she wore the wrong hiking boots for the snow in the woods near La-push.  I guess…I only form out of fear. Is that really a bad thing?

When I form, I never realize how big I am around Leah or Seth. Jacob and I are almost the same height. I was never near Sam or his pack to begin with. I wasn’t yet fully comfortable with them yet. Paul is still waiting for me to accept Jacob’s pack.

But I can’t..I wont..

It was early morning as the sun began to rise from the depth of our mountains. I’m usually the one up early while everyone is asleep or on duty. I’ve been staying at Leah’s place for about 5 months now. I’ve been spending more time with her then the others. Even though everyone seemed overly attach. I didn’t like the fact how they were all hovering me. It was rather annoying. I just wanted everyone treat me the same as everyone. I’m not THAT special. Gezz..

I’ve been going to Conner’s high school, Forks high school and yet everyone seemed nicely odd as well. Being the shy girl I am. I only wanted Conner to be my friend in Forks. It seemed people looked us oddly because I was a Jr and she’s a freshman. But next year she won’t be any more as I smiled. I brushed my teeth and combed my hair after a warm shower. Seth always looked disappointed when I leave, he wishes that I went to school with him and Jacob but something tells me…

“Hey Kris you’re ready?” Conner yelling outside while beeping her car “C’on! We don’t want to be late again!” while she honks again

I grabbed my backpack and ate as fast as I can. “Thanks Leah for the food” as I smiled

“Don’t let girls push you around!” Leah replied as she smiled

I knew she wasn’t please when I told her a group of girls almost hit me with their car at the parking lot. Billy came rushing in. Of course he was hoping the girls were safe and I haven’t done any damage to their vehicle. I jumped out of the way just in time before they found out what I really am.

I think it was best if they didn’t found out I was a freak.  They apologize afterwards.  Ya see? Their tire slipped from the ice of the school parking lot. Leah still believes it was no accident. She simply formed when she heard the news. At least she worries about my safety. I smiled at the thought of her.

“What are you smiling about?” Conner asked curiously

“Just thinking about that accident with that group of girls a few months back” I said with a smile

“Why are you happy about that?” Conner replied “I don’t think it’s something funny. If only those girls weren’t so dumb” “…ugh”…

“Easy Conner, keep an eye on the road. It wasn’t really about that. Just my safety.” I smiled

“Oh….” As she jokes innocently “…sorry” she smiles

She pulled over and parked. Still the beginning of May yet it looks as though it’s December. I automatically stopped when I felt the atmosphere oddly.

Where is this feeling coming from? I couldn’t point out where it was coming from but my inner wolf wanted to form out of protection. I gripped my chest tightly as I fell on my knees trying to not to breath heavily.

“Kris! Kris! Are you alright?” she bent down to look at me while other students at the parking lot glanced.  The feeling was gone and I stood up quickly.

“Are you alright? What was that?” She said worriedly as I looked at her with confusion. “Perhaps it’s best if you stayed home”.

“No, I’m fine. Just need water.” As we headed into school

---Unknown---

The fire crackled beneath the dark hazy room. Only the sound of wind rushed through the window. Looking at the full moon as the dark clouds covered its beauty.

“Did you fine her?” rusty man have spoken

He stood tall from where he was sitting with a glass of wine. His eyes were intense waiting for an answer. He was built with dark brown short hair; it seems as though he hasn’t shaved in two weeks, he had more an aggressive tone.

“Well, did you fine her?!”

“Yes…”

He faded back into the shadow of the room.

“Good..that’s good” as he toke a sip of his last wine, watching the fire die out.

“Follow her, trace her scent, show me what she looks like, and don’t fail me this time…my son.”

I nodded and walked away. “Yes father.”

I formed taken two omegas with me. “Finally found you..” as I chuckled at the thought of her.
