Chapter 27: Friendship between two creaturs

Kris’s POV

I felt like I was on top of the world, feeling the ocean breeze run down my body as I looked up into the sky. If only the moon was out…

“Kris?....we shouldn’t be here?” Seth looking nervous as ever

“Why not?... it’s beautiful?” I still kept looking high above the ocean as the waves clash between the shores.

“Well for one thing… I don’t want you to fall. Another thing, Sam …doesn’t consider you as one of our pack yet… well La-Push tribe… It’s hard to explain. Can we go now?” He said quickly

I sign “…fine… buzz kill” as we laugh along the way

Another week has passed and Conner would visit me from time to time. I would ask her about school and if Edward was doing alright? Same as usual, grades are good, no one is bullying her, and The Cullen’s seemed popular as ever in school. I always wondered if Edward is thinking about me… I guess it’s for the best.. 

Conner asked Jacob if it’s alright if I can go into town with her. Her dad has been feeling better since Leah knocked him over a few months ago. Jacob gave thought to our situation with The Cullen’s. Now, that the pack can communicate much better, he has nothing to worry about. Seth told Jacob and everyone how I can finally communicate. But like Seth, they did question how I my feelings were …or wanting to know about my past but I wouldn’t let them in... It’s hard to explain, I can finally hear them and have a sense of how they are feeling...but…each time they pull, I seem to be blocking them from knowing the truth, the real truth of how I felt...a bond so strong yet I can never let them through. Perhaps, someday when I am ready.

 Jacobs Dad has been sending secretive letters towards another tribe… He likes to keep my existence a secret and asked me if I still wanted to be cured?
That question still bothered me…. I gave him no answer… Jacobs Dad always seemed kind to me. He didn’t mind. Anyway, since everything seemed to be calmed, Jacob decides to let us through.
With my excitement, I bounce up and gave Jacob a really tight hug. So unlike me but I waved goodbye as we drove off.

“First, we have to get medicine, than we can do whatever we want in Forks.” Conner smiled as we just passed the sign of entering Forks

“That’s fine with me, it’s good to be back” I was looking forward bumping into Edward anytime soon. I’m sure he notices my smell.

We finally arrived, I wanted to wait in the car but Conner dragged me out… well she… convinced me to go, keeping her company while I wait in the waiting room as Conner filed out the forms of her Dad prescription pills. Suddenly, Carlisle appears out of the blue. I blinked a few times.

“Ah, Hello Kris?” He looked at me oddly and looked around  “…are you here for a checkup?” I guess since I’m part wolf his assuming this is no place to be in a hospital like this. “If so? I wouldn’t mind having you privately somewhere? Or doesn’t Billy have special treatment in La-Push?”

Finally Conner stood behind Carlisle.

“Ready to go?” She said

“Oh, forgive me. I’d assume Kris was here alone.” Carlisle said

“Nope” Conner and I said at the same time

“How’s your dad doing?” Carlisle asked her “I see, you have his prospection pills. Remember twice a day for a week.” He told her as she nodded

He smelled at me until I was gone from his sight.

How can I have not notice his smell? How can even stand human blood in a place like that? So many questions I wanted to ask him ..but it’s best for a simple wolf to not know, I suppose.
I sign as we got into the car
