Conner’s POV

We started walking again, silently, and without knowing, I was leading us out of the forest. The trees looked familiar as I looked closely. Then, I tugged Kris’s arm.

“Hey Kris, I know we’re this place is! We’re not too far from Forks. Just about a mile away.” As I point straight.  She suddenly snaps out of it. Good, because I was beginning to worry as I gently smile at her. She looked at me and nodded while we kept walking.

“Hey Kris, can I show you around in Forks? ya know..before you leave” I looked at her for a while, waiting for a response.

“Ya, I don’t mind.” She finally smoke and smiled

“YES!” as I scored a victory dance

“Don’t worry, I’ll show you my high school! My favorite book store! And my house!” as I grinned with delight.

“Why?” She looked at me curiously

“..cause..in case you run into Forks again..you can always visit me” I whispered the last words

“Sorry, couldn’t catch that…you can what?” she looked at me as if she heard me before. Of course she is only pulling my leg here. I know she has extra hearing powers. I scratched my head and looked at her hard.

“I said..you can viste me, anytime you like” I spoke clearly this time. We stood silently together, for a long pause and thought, she finally agreed to my idea.

“Fine..I’ll go look” as she nodded.

We were already 5 feet away from Forks and the snow storm has cleared the roads. Can’t believe all this has happened to me? If I haven’t had ran away, I wouldn’t have met Kris. She seems like a sister I never had. Protective, funny, and wise but hurt. I want to make her happy; however, I want to give her something since she saved my life. But it wasn’t just life; she saved me from my lonesome. A friend she has giving me. A big sister I want to look up too. Suddenly, I stopped her and myself. She looked at me as if another danger was near.

“What’s wrong? What is it this time?” as she looked left to right.

“Your clothes?! I can’t let you be seen! Looking like that!” as I point at her disgusting ripped up blue jean’s with a black spot smudge on her pants, and her white tank-top that look as if a dog was chewing on it like a toy.

“What’s wrong with my clothes?” she replied as she shrugged it off.

“Omg, you seriously going to be asking that?” while my hands were on my hips, and lecturing her about fashion and clothing.

“Jezz..you are extremely girly for me.” Suddenly she laughs lightly

“This isn’t funny Kris!” stomping my foot on the snowy grounds, while I shove her behind a tree.

“Hey..wow..okay okay..I get the picture. Awww..look? you look sooo cute when you turn red” gently laughing

I didn’t even realizing I was turning red, was it fever or perhaps Kris not understanding my fashion senses. Unknowingly, my eyes gazed in someone’s backyard. We just got done with a snow storm? Who in the world would dry their clothes outside? Well it was near a fire as the clothes hanged on top of it. I pinched Kris’s arm and pointed at them clothes.

“Really, a pinch? Didn’t even feel it” as she smirked

“I don’t ..think that’s a good idea. To come near your home I mean”. Kris said with disappointment.

I completely stopped and turned around.

“Why not? Just the outside not the inside.” I said

“Because your parents will be there”. She replied with a  fright.
