I woke up, excited. According to Ron, today he was to propose to Hermione. I jumped out of bed and started to change rapidly.

" You do know that pants go on your legs, right?" Hermione asked me from behind. I turned around to face her.

" Huh? Oh! Hehe... Right, ya." I said, nervously. After realizing that I had been putting attempting to put my legs through the sleeves of my shirt. Hermione rolled her eyes at me.

When we were both ready, we started to walk down to the Great Hall.

" Oh, no! I forgot my book in our room. Hold on a second, let me just run up and get it." Hermione said suddenly. My heart sunk.

" No! Come on, it's just a book!" Hermione looked horrified.

" Just a...? What?! A book.." she sputtered, in utter disbelief. I tried very hard to suppress a laugh.

" Come on! You can get it later. But I really want to go to breakfast." I whined.

" Fine! But you are not stopping me after breakfast..." We started to walk when suddenly, " Wait, why the sudden need to go to breakfast?" Hermione asked. Being best friends and all, she knew something was up. Not to mention the fact she was Hermione.

" No reason! I just want breakfast! Real hungry!" I said anxiously.

" No, no, no. Something's up, again. Please Katie! Just tell me! It's been like two weeks!"

" It's nothing! Let's just... Let's just get to breakfast." I practically had to drag her the rest of the way. But we eventually made it.

" Morning Hermione, Katie." Ron said.

" Hey." I said.

" What's up with you, Hermione?" Harry asked. My best friend was sitting there, sulking.

" She's just mad. But she'll get over it." I said. Ron looked a bit worried, but when Harry and I gave him a look, he seemed relaxed to have known why she was mad.  It's so cute how big a heart Ron has when it comes to Hermione.

As we ate, I noticed Harry looked really uneasy. Almost as much as Ron, but Ron's was understandable.

" Harry, are you OK?" I whispered to him.

" Huh? Oh, ya." He said after wiping sweat from his upper lip. He looked worn out so I didn't press the matter.

After breakfast we went up to get Hermione's book. Then we went to classes. Soon, it was dinner.

" Hey, Hermione?" Ron asked.

" Yes?" Hermone said, having cooled down.

" Want to go out tonight? Near the Forbidden Forest at around eight o' clock?"

" Hmm... Mot much homework... That essay I finished last week..." she mumbled to herself. " Ya, sure." I smiled from ear to ear.

" Katie?" Harry asked.

" Hmm?"

" Want to go out tonight? Near the lake at around eight o' clock?"

" OK." I said at once.  Harry and Ron grinned. Hermione gave me a suspicious glance. I shrugged.

After dinner, we all went to our common room.

" Ugh! Ron, what did you get for number six on the Transfiguration homework?" I asked, throwing my head back. I was so frustrated. I was never to good at Transfiguration.

" Umm... I got B."

After another hour of thwarting homework, we went on our dates.

" Hey, Hermione?" Ron said.
