We were back at Hogwarts. The vacation had been very fun and also very relaxing, which was what I needed. Only problem was that I still hadn't decided between Draco and Harry. I went to breakfast with my best friends. It seemed that tension had tainted the air around us. It didn't take a genius to figure out why- I still hadn't told them who I chose. I still hadn't told myself who I chose!

"Pass the eggs, Hermione." Harry said. She picked up the plate and passed it to Harry. That was the only dialogue the entire time. Then, we all went down to Herbology.

"OK, today we are going to be doing something special. The plant we are studying, the Horned Triple Thorn, are very scared plants. Hence their name, they are always prepared to defend themselves. Which also means they don't like to be alone but in groups. So, I have brought in twice the amount. Meaning we will be working in pairs instead of groups of four." Professor Sprout said.

I immediately stood beside Hermione and Harry to Ron. But Hermione looked at us and shook her head.

"No, this is not how we are splitting up. Harry, Katie, you'll be together. You guys need to talk and you know it. Ron will be with me."

"Oh thank Dumbledore! I've never even heard of a Horned Thorn!" Ron breathed in relief.

"It's Triple Horned Thorn, Ron. They really are fascinating! You don't know you've been missing!" Neville said as he walked by. He had just barely beat Hermione to correcting Ron.

"Aren't they! Which of the three is your favorite, Neville?" Hermione called out to him as she followed in suit. Ron gave a sigh and followed her. Harry and I were left standing dumbfounded.

"Uh... So..." Harry said awkwardly.

"I'll get the plant." I said. He nodded, his face turning red. I walked over to Professor Sprout and she handed me a potted plant while telling me the assignment.

I put the plate down on our table and handed Harry his pair of gloves. We put them on.

"OK, what now?" Harry asked me, eyeing the plant. I looked at it. It was a mixture of brown and green. It pulsed nonstop, making it look rather revolting. There were three horns sprouting from the top of it. They made a sort of cage around a pulsating pod in the middle.

"We have to get the pod out. And draw a picture of the plant before and after we take it out." Harry and I both grabbed our bags under the table and got out out textbook, parchment, a quill, and inkwell. Our bags were very close together so when we looked up, our eyes met and we were only a few inches apart.

"Hi." I breathed, my lips stretching into a smile. He grinned back.

"Hey." We held each other's gaze for what seemed like an eternity, when suddenly we were kissing. Kissing with such passion that we had never before felt erupt between us. We pulled away after what seemed to be years. We smiled again and stood back up.

I put my things on the table.

"Oh, I forgot mine on the floor." Harry chuckled. "Want to come with?" I playfully slapped his arm.

"Oh, shut up." I teased. He grinned and retrieved his stuff from where he left it. The day was going quickly- time flies when your having fun. Even if it is at school. Soon, it was dinner.

"Hey, Harry, I want to talk to you." Hermione said. We all raised a suspicious eyebrow at her. "What? Am I not allowed to talk to my friend?" We all shrugged and Harry got up. Hermione walked him out of the Great Hall and into the Entrance Hall.

"What do you think that's about?" Ron asked me, his mouth stuffed with chicken.

"No idea, but I'm glad we're finally alone." I said.

"Huh?"

"Well, don't tell me you just want to be friends?"

"I was scared to say I love you." he said, smiling.

"Yeah, that's what I thought." I said seductively. There was one thing I had forgotten to mention. I am also in love with Ron.

Ron looked at me, his loving gaze unwavering. I returned the favor.

"Kiss me." I said. He obeyed. His lips crashed onto mine in what was the most passionate kiss I had ever had. Suddenly the one Harry and I shared in Herbology today was nothing. Dirt against gold. And all of a sudden Harry and Draco seemed to not exist ans the only real thing in the world at the moment was Ron.
