Missed and Missing

I had to stay at the Hospital Wing for a month. It was awful. But the worst part was the people. Draco was coming in all the time, mostly to kiss. It was horrible, my new boyfriend was obnoxious and simply annoying. Hermione came in somewhat frequently, she was the only one that wasn't bothering me. Ron came only about three times. He was only a little annoying. Harry came in four times a week. Mostly I would pretend to be asleep while he whispered about how much he cared for me and wished that I would be OK soon. Then he would leave flowers and go. After he went I would cry until I actually fell asleep. But twice he came so quickly that I didn't have time to pretend, then I would just yell at him to go away. Even Madame Pompfrey was starting to bug me.

All of it was pretty terrible. The month dragged on and on. Finally, though, my leg was healed(although still a bit sensitive) and I was back to going to classes. But I had to have someone with me most of the time for extra precaution. Unfortunately for me, that was Draco and occasionally Hermione.

" Why can't I be your only helper? Why do you need someone else? Especially Granger!" Draco whined as we walked to Double Potions.

" Draco, we've been over this! She's my friend, whether you like it or not. OK?" I said.

" You know if you weren't you, I would've dumped you a long time ago." He said looking very sincerely into my eyes. I smiled. He pulled me in closer and kissed me. I had to admit that as much as I hate Draco, he isn't all bad. I pulled away and he intertwined his hand in mine. We started to walk down the stairs when Draco suddenly said, " Potter!"

" Draco, let's just go..." I whispered after he dragged me back up the stairs to where Harry and Ron were.

" What do you want?" Harry said, trying to keep his cool.

" Well, I just wanted to know why you would let such a girl like katie go, especially for Weasly's sister."

Ron's face went red and so did Harry's.

" Ginny happens to be a great girl!" harry said angrily. I looked at him, my mouth open in shock. Harry realized what he had done and stared at me apologetically. Ron stood there awkwardly.

" Draco, let's just go. Please. This jerk has caused me enough pain already."

" Anything for you." He said, somewhat reluctantly but still with a bit sincerity. Harry looked horror-struck and Ron just looked down at his feet a bit angrily. In spite of myself, I hated this situation but somehow I still liked that Draco and Harry were kind of fighting over me.

I started to walk away with Draco when I was suddenly pulled back. I was facing Harry.

" Please, Katie! You have to listen to me! It's not what it looked like!" He said anxiously. I wanted to believe him so bad. I had to prevent myself from smashing my lips onto mine. I was missing all of them. And it looked like they were missing me.

" Get off her, Potter!" Draco said defensively, yanking me back to his side a little to forcefully.

" Harry, common room, tonight at one o' clock. All of you." I whispered quickly before Draco could lead me away. I never did get to see his expression.

At eight that very night I was still with Draco. We were in the library, which was practically empty. My boyfriend was talking about the past, again. He always liked to talk openly and freely about anything to me, including his feelings. Which, honestly, I did kind of like.

" I have never told anyone this before,  but I had always found it a bit of an honor to be technically related to the Black  family. I get it from my mom's side." He told me.

" Awww... Draco, that's actually really sweet. I would do anything to have met a real, closer member of the family, you know. So, you really should be honored." I replied. He grinned a goofy grin. Our conversation went on until ten. Then I went up to the Gryffindor common room and did homework by myself.

The common room slowly emptied and soon it was just my three best friends and me. They started to walk over.
