"Kit Kat! We heard about what happened, are you alright?" Anabelle exclaimed as she and Cassey rushed into the infirmary.
Kate looked up from her cup of hot cocoa. "Yeah, don't worry. I'm alright."
A moment later Tanya's head poked out from the doorway and when she spotted Kate, she gave her a look of annoyance. "Darn, you're still alive."
"Don't mind her. She's been like this since noon." Cassey apologized.
Kate snorted. "Isn't she always?"
Tanya's scowl intensified and she then went off to flip her off. Before Kate could do the same, the guys walked in.
"Are you alright?" Alain asked, nervously looking at her. Kate tried to control the blush that was starting to creep up on her cheeks.
"Yeah, as you can see I'm still in one piece ha ha."
Alain smiled in relief and she couldn't help but smile back, her heart fluttering in her chest.
Yo, Kit Kat, that was awesome! You destroyed almost half of the building! Why do you always get to do the fun stuff?" Brad exclaimed as he grinned down at her.Her jaw dropped open, aghast. "That wasn't awesome, it was terrible! I could have died you know!."
"Don't mind him Kit Kat." Josh said stepping forward. "That's just his way of saying that he's glad that you're okay.....right Brad?"
Catching Josh's look, Brad simply nodded. "Yeah euh, what he said." Kate raised an eyebrow but decided to remain silent.
"And by the way, how did you manage to get out unscathed? Even Eloise had some bruises here and there." Josh asked.
"Well....It's kind of hard to explain but it was magic that protected me. It was almost as if it had a mind of it's own and it only responds to me."
"What do you mean with that." Cassey questioned, her brow furrowed in puzzlement. Everyone looked just as confused.
Kate tried to find the right words but once realizing she couldn't, she sighed and looked at them. "Okay, I'm going to try something. Promise not to freak out?"
After a moment they all cautiously nodded their heads, unsure of what would happen.
Closing her eyes, Kate summoned the dark tendrils. Astounded gasps sounded throughout the room and they all stepped back.
"Holy Shit! What is that?!" Brad squealed in a comical high-pitched girly voice.
"What did I say about not freaking out? You're making them agitated." Kate hissed as she tried to mentally sooth her dark tendrils. She really didn't want the downfall of another building.
Brad's jaw dropped open in a big O of amazement. Finally he blurted "Dude, that's so freaky! Are you like the slender lady now or something?"
Kate gave him a death glare, insulted at being compared to a tall and freaky scrawny man with no face. "Seriously? That's your response?"
Tanya snorted in contempt as she glared at her with such hate that it took Kate by surprise. After a moment anger bubbled up and Kate glared right back. "what's your problem?" She growled.
"What do you think it is? I'm getting sick and tired of hearing everyone talk about you. Kate this, Kate that....argh!" Tanya ranted. Her emerald green eyes started to glow and her figure started to ripple, wanting to change into her other forms. "Just because you got the luck of being a freaking Necromancer, you think you're the star of the show."
