"You're a Necromancer" Abby chocked out again. Without another word she ran out of the room screaming for Eloise. Kate was frozen, not sure what was going on. A million thoughts whirled around in her head. She couldn't be a necromancer. Only five groups and Necromancy wasn't one of them. It was impossible.
Eloise walked in with Abby who seemed to be on the verge on a nervous breakdown and Teresa, who glared at Kate in disgust and anger.
"Come with us right now." The fact that Eloise actually looked scared made Kate go into panic mode.
"What is it? What did I do wrong?" Nobody said anything and they all started to walk away. Seeing no other choice, Kate followed them.
Kate sat outside of the office as Eloise spoke with the other supervisors. After fifteen long nervous-wrenching minutes Mrs. Eloise stepped out and said shortly. "Kate Morrow, please come in"
As Kate walked in, everyone looked up. Some held an expression of worry and fear but most of them sent her glares of anger and disgust just as Teresa had. She sat down, not being able to look at anyone and trying to force down the panic that was trying to claw itself out.
"Kate Morrow, as you have realized, you're a Necromancer" As the word Necromancer was spoken, many of the adults hissed and murmured among themselves. Mrs. Eloise silently raised her hand and everyone became silent.
"But Mrs. Eloise, how can I be a Necromancer?" necromancers don't exist. She was about to say but she bit her tongue. A couple of days ago she had believed demons didn't exist but they were real. She didn't even know what was myth or reality anymore.
"You weren't the only one. Once every few hundred years or so a Necromancer is born in this world. But they never survive past their first birthday, no ones knows why. To have a Necromancer alive for seventeen years....that's completely unheard of."
Kate's face paled. If they were right, then she wasn't supposed to be alive.
Mrs. Eloise sighed and began speaking again. "At the beginning of time, there were six groups instead of the five that we have now. They where the ones whose main power was magic mostly dark magic in their case. They were referred to as the Magic Wielders. This group mostly included creatures such as witches, warlocks, true demons and jinx bearers. But there were some people with the most rarest ability of being able to manipulate death and darkness itself....they were known as the Necromancers."
Her voice softened and she looked into space seeing something no one else could see. "There where three necromancers whom kept and protected the balance of both worlds and the creatures residing them. Their names, Cedric, Adriss and Kieron. Everyone lived in peace but someone always ends up becoming corrupted in the end, no matter how powerful or pure they may be. One of the Necromancers, Kieron, grew greedy with power and decided that it was time of a new era. An era where he would reign over both worlds."
Everyone held on her every single word as she spoke. " He made an alliance with Nuriye, the ruler of the fire demons. Learning of his plan both Adriss and Cedric fought against him. A tremendous battle unfolded and Kieron killed Cedric. Injured and weak Adriss managed to use the last of her life force to cast an unbreakable spell that banned Kieron from Earth and forever bound him to the demon world."
Eloise then turned to Kate. "After the death of Adriss, her surviving followers created the Belladors de Lux in order to fight against Kieron, who keeps tyring to takeover our world. Even now."
"Wait....you mean he's still alive?!" Kate's mind reeled. How could someone be alive for so long?
"When someone controls darkness and death, they sometimes may even trick death itself. It is said that when the battle started he destroyed his own humanity to gain more power and then he became something else....something that has never been seen before. We don't know what he may be now but he's not human. Not anymore."
The room was completely silent as everyone tried to take in all of this information. Finally Teresa spoke up. "What do we do about this, Eloise? We can't exactly hide Kate's new abilities."
Everyone started talking at once. "I believe we keep this a secret, something like this will only put our organization in jeopardy!" One of them said, others murmured in agreement while other's argued and shook their heads.
"Silence!" Eloise glared at all of them. "This is no time to argue and bicker around like children."
"Eloise, if I may speak." And old man with wispy light gray hair whispered in his soft and raspy voice. Everyone became quiet turning to the old man who was staring at Eloise for permission with soft intelligent brown eyes.
She slightly inclined her head. "Please go on Krean."
Krean nodded lightly cleared his throat before talking. "As we are all aware, Miss Morrow here has a rare ability. Not only that but she has managed to remain alive for such long time. This is truly rare. Instead of arguing we need to work together and make a decision on what to do. If we reveal her abilities to everyone, it will obviously cause turmoil amongst each other but we can also use this to our advantage and make the Bellator de Lux stronger and more united than ever before."
Everyone turned to Eloise, waiting for her response. She stood silently, thinking. "Well, we have to think through this very carefully," she started slowly, "and I belive Krean is correct. Our best strategy to use right now is to inform everyone as soon as possible. Teresa?"
Teresa stood up from her chair. "Yes?"
"Please make an announcement informing all students and staff be in the assembly hall for a mandatory meeting in an hour."
Teresa nodded in compliance and walked out of the room. A minute later the intercom came on.
//All students and staff is required to attend a mandatory meeting in the assembly hall in an hour.//
This was going too fast for Kate, the information alone was close to completely overwhelming her. "Now what?" she managed to ask.
Everyone turned to her and she regretted speaking, instead wanting to shrink in her seat and become invisible. Eloise stared at her. "Now, we prepare for the meeting."
