Kate stood nervously besides Eloise as everyone poured in into the assembly hall. The place was quickly becoming full and everyone was talking at once, confused as to why they had been called down.
Eloise leaned forward towards the microphone and her commanding voice rang throughout the room. "Please everyone be seated and quiet. We have an announcement of utmost importance."
Everyone became quiet at once, their eyes fixed on her, waiting for her next words.
Kate found her friends towards the front of the crowd. They all sat together and stared at Kate with curios and confused expressions. Kate looked away and tried to focus on what Eloise was saying.
"As all of you know, the purpose of the Bellators du Lux is to protect and defend this world from any evil that may threaten our peace and way of life. And here we stand," she continued. "still fighting for our kind. As long as the Bellators du Lux is still standing, we will keep on fighting!."
She paused as the crowds roaring died down. "Now, I have called you all down for a very important announcement. Kate Morrow, a student who has recently joined our society, here has been blessed with abilities that haven't been seen since the creating of Bellator du Lux."
Everyone held their breath as they waited for her next words. "Kate Morrow is a Necromancer."
The room then exploded into chaos.
Kate saw Brad choke on the gum he was chewing. Turning to his right, he spat it out and unfortunately for him, at Tanya's' face. She in turn launched herself at him and Josh jumped up trying to pry a very pissed off Tanya from Brad. Alain, Annabel and Cassey all seem not notice this, instead they all stared at Kate with mouths open in complete shock.
People stood up, some yelling and screaming while others were frozen in complete shock. Some even fainted and the others had to try to revive their fallen companions.
"Silence!, Silence!" Eloise commanded but her voice was lost between the crowds' roaring.
People surged towards Kate and she stumbled back. They all reached for her, their expressions holding fear and fury. They started to climb the stage, coming to get her.
"STOP!!!" Everyone instantly froze. Kate looked at the eerie scene of everyone frozen in mid stride. Looking over Kates' eyes widened as she saw Eloise standing before everyone. Her eyes were an iridescent bright blue and her hand was stretched out towards the crowd. Holding them in her spell.
"You will all stop this." She growled. "There's no reason to act out in such an outrageous way. Kate Morrow may be a Necromancer but she is fighting alongside us and therefore she is one of us."
Eloise lowered her hand and everyone was able to move. They all stood looking at her with wide eyes. Her eyes slowly shifted back to their normal blue color and she regarded them all before speaking. "No matter what, we will all fight. Together. Remember that, You are all dismissed."
She turned around and walked towards Kate. "It is done, Please come with me Kate."
Kate glanced back at the crowd and then followed Eloise out of the room. Once behind closed doors Eloise let out a sigh, "I'm glad that's over now."
Kate shrugged. "They actually took the news pretty well in my opinion."
Eloise looked over and lifted an eyebrow at Kate. "It went well?"
"I'm not dead so I take that to be a very good sign."
"You teenagers are so strange." She sighed.
Now Kate lifted up an eyebrow at Eloise. "You just noticed? We are basically mini adults who have gone through puberty and we are just a mess of raging hormones at the moment. Also we tend to devout our time to facebook, boy bands and sparkling vampires. What do you expect?"
"Sparkling vampires, boy bands....and.....and what in the world is a facebook? " Eloise shook her head. "What has our society come to?"
Kate laughed. "That's what I have always asked myself."
