"Nurse! Doctor!" The lady screeched in horror.

I began to wonder if I mentioned something offensive, within the four letter question I had asked. The other people, whilst still alarmed, frantically attempted to calm the woman down. The white blur of a woman's uniform passed the window in the corner of my eye. Breaking free of all the peoples grasp, the woman sprinted out of the room to chase her.

Swiftly, the woman and who I was guessing was a nurse, entered the room.
"What has occurred?" Asked the nurse.
"She..." Stammered the woman, "she asked us who we were."

The nurse furrowed her eyebrows and took a step closer.
"Good afternoon young lady. I am Lacey, a nurse here." She paused for a second, "are you aware of where you are?"
I inhaled and began, "theoretically no, but I am aware I am inside a hospital."
"Do you know your name?" The nurse continued to trial my basic, yet non-existent,  knowledge.
I gently shook my head in reply.

The woman exhaled deeply and informed everyone, " I am going to return with the doctor."
Then quickly left the room.

The nurse returned several minutes later, with another woman wearing a different, yet blandly white, uniform.
"Good afternoon, our nurse, Lacey Hall, has reported that Miss Dawn here is experiencing some difficulties remembering details."

"That is correct." The woman answered for me as if I was a small child.
"I am just going to ask you some routine questions," the doctor assured me.
Once again I silently nodded in reply.

"Do you know your name?" I was asked once again.
To which I shook my head.

"Do you know who your family are?"
Once again I shook my head.

"Do you know how old you are?"
I pondered it for a second, alas I could not even remember my own name or age, let alone who my family or friends are.

"Do you know what happened to you?"
I sighed, to which the doctor guessed meant no, like the rest of the answers were.

"If I could have a word with you outside?" The doctor asked the people and the lady.
Who nodded like I had previously and trudged outside the room.

During having the room to myself, I began to wonder who I used to be, what my family used to be like. Worry fell upon me. How am I supposed to cope, being so naive and vulnerable. I'm a state.

The door swung open and the people, the lady, the doctor and the nurse re-entered the room. The doctor paced toward the side of my hospital bed and knelt down.
"I understand you don't remember anything of your life - your name is Vienna Dawn." .The doctor smiled in a nervous form, "now Vienna, do you know what amnesia is?"

Greetings readers,
Please show your kindest through; reads, comments and votes.

My favorite line this chapter was...

I began to wonder if I mentioned something offensive, within the four letter question I had asked.

Mainly because it reminds me of myself.
