I forced myself out of bed and swung my wardrobe doors open. I was amazed at how short most of the items of clothing were and not a pleasant amazed, not a 'I've found a €5 note in the pocket of my shorts. It was a disgusted amazed, a negative form of shock. The dresses we short, the shorts were short, the skirts were short and the tops were short. I sighed in defeat and picked one of the rare items of clothing that were something more appropriate for school; a slightly above the knee length, black skater dress.

I wandered over to my draws and picked out my hairbrush, then I ran it through my mangled locks and placed it back where I found it. I closed the draw faster than I thought, causing a large crashing noise. I'll look out for that tomorrow. Then I shoved a pair of sunglasses through my hair to prevent hair falling in front of my face.

I then brushed my teeth and knocked on Adria's door. She opened the door and let me into her room. All the walls were painted a beautiful dark shade of purple and most of the furniture and decor was either dark purple or black.

I felt as if I was about to ask Adria one of the dumbest questions, besides having to ask my age yesterday. The item I was about to ask about, I used to use everyday. Of course now I would be clueless as to its location.

"I was wondering where my school bag was?" I asked quietly which only showed my embarrassment even more.
Adria nodded understandably in reply, then lead me back into my own room and found the bag for me. It was buried underneath a pile of clothes, of which I presumed were laundry. "Thank you." I smiled.

Her long hair was brushed back into a ponytail and she was wearing black shorts that came 3/4 above her knee and a black t-shirt with a band name on. "And your phone is in your top drawer," she added smirking in an evil sibling way, knowing that I had no idea about the location of anything.
I grinned at her in return. "Come on, we're going to be late." She announced.

We raced down the staircase, then ran out of the door and walked to our school. The whole journey I followed Adria as if she was a mother duck and I was her duckling. She laughed at me a couple of times and told me to excuse her and apologized, knowing it wasn't my fault. She was probably used to a sister who she used to argue with and have to reason with. Once we arrived and entered the prison like building, Adria pointed to a large group of girls who were apparently my friends before the car crash.

Adria picked up on my nervousness, "look confident, you used to rule this school, queen bee." She laughed, then pushed me further to the crowd of girls before entering her own group of friends.

I nervously walked towards them, quietly hoping none of them would notice my existence, until one of the girls noticed me and they all ran to me and surrounded me with their embraces. "Vienna, we've missed you so much!" One said.
"We heard what happened." Another added sadly.
"So we decided to go round in a circle and tell you our names." The first one continued, while viciously looking back at the girl who interrupted.

"I'm Danielle." A girl with shoulder-length blonde hair announced. She had crystal blue eyes and was super skinny.

"I'm Maddy. M-A-D-D-Y." The next girl smiled. She had black hair in a bun, mud brown eyes and was average weight.

"I'm Lily." She had her hair dyed light blue (so it was almost white), short in height and had green eyes.

"I'm Charlotte." She had short blonde hair, blue eyes and lots of freckles.

"I'm Hannah." She had medium-long chestnut hair, hazel eyes and was average weight.

There were many more girls. Just under 20. I thought that was it, until a group of boys walked over. "Dude, Vienna's back." One guy nudged another in the arm.
"Vienna." The boy who got elbowed smiled.
He was tall and handsome. I swore that I recognized him from somewhere, but I couldn't place my finger on where.

He came closer and put his arm around me. I felt uncomfortable and trapped. Then it clicked, he was the boy from the photo. "How are you?" He asked politely, "Do you remember who I am?"
"I... I..." I stammered, "I don't."

He took his arm back slowly, so I took this opportunity to move back a little, "I was your boyfriend, Chase."

"Well, nice to meet you Chase," I stuck my hand out, so then we then shook hands, which was my idea. For some reason he didn't seem too keen on the idea.

Howdy folks!
(Coughs awkwardly) excuse me, I have a little bit of a cough.

My favorite lines this chapter were...

It was buried underneath a pile of clothes, of which I presumed were laundry.

And,

I stuck my hand out, so then we then shook hands, which was my idea. For some reason he didn't seem too keen on the idea.

Purely because they remind me of myself.
