The last bell sounded and I was relieved the day was over. After staying strong all day, I couldn't wait to fall in to a heap and cry watching the TV for hours.

It had been an emotional roller coaster of a day. I thought I could cope and now my boyfriend, who was once practically part of our family we were so inseparable, had done the dirty on me.

Walking alone down the corridor, someone tapped me on the shoulder. I swiveled round to see who it was. It was Chase. As if I hadn't seen him, I turned back around and continued walking.

"Vienna," he called, "wait."
"Chase," I sighed, "we're done, I think it's time you remembered that amnesia isn't dementia, I can remember things from now on."
I turned on my heel and started to walk faster until he had to run to catch up with me.

"Is still love you." He confessed.
"Aw, how sweet," I wrinkled my nose in disgust, "and I love you too you cheating liar."
"It wasn't me," he protested, "I tried to get away but she kept on pulling on my top."
"Don't lie to me, I'm sure you're stronger than Danielle." I persisted.

He paused, knowing that I was right.

"I know that you cheated on me before amnesia."

My face fell, my comebacks took themselves back and I stopped walking. "What do you mean?" I attempted to use amnesia as an advantage.
But I was a terrible liar, I could feel my cheeks burn and my voice wobble.
"I forgave you and that was so much worse, please forgive me..."

I paused and thought for a minute. No, we could not work. This had proved it, I didn't know Chase at all anymore. How did he even find out about that boy?

"I know, you're probably wondering how I found out," I shook my head, but he continued, "I found out the same way you did..."

As if this situation couldn't get any worse for me, he said the most forbidden words, "Vienna, Kiana, Dawn, I love you..."

I shook my head, pressed my hand up against my face. "I, I'' sorry," I stammered, "I can't do this."
I ran off, out of school and caught up with Adria who had begun to walk ahead. Tears strolled down my cheeks and I sobbed.

"Oh Adria," I cried, "what am I supposed to do?"
She shrugged, "he does love you Vienna."

Any other person would wonder why I was torturing myself. Why I was putting myself through all this. Chase was attractive but I didn't know him. I needed to know myself if anything before dating. The time wasn't right, I'd only just left the hospital - not even I week ago. I was hardly ready for the stress and pressure of dating.

"What's this note cello-taped to your back?" Adria asked while tearing it off me.

The mysterious note read...

Dear Vienna,

Meet me at the water fountains outside room 12 tomorrow at school. I've heard you've changed, but you can't believe everything you hear.

Bye, for now,
- Nat.
