Lily didn't return to our friendship group after what I had said. The words weren't offensive, tone of voice was.

I felt guilty all day, especially when she didn't turn up to our last lesson. I began to sweat, wondering what I had caused. So many things were wrong right now, that I'd forgotten other humans had feelings too. It was almost as if I had the brain of a toddler.

I raised my shaky hand, until our ignorant calculus teacher noticed me. "Miss Dawn?" Her judgmental voice sounded.
"Can I go to the toilet?" I wrinkled my nose at the sound of her voice.
"Quickly," she snarled.

I raced through the corridors, checking each bathroom I passed. Struggling to remember where they all were. At one point I almost entered a health class.

I pushed open the last bathroom's door and I had almost given up on hope. "Had she ditched school altogether?" I asked myself and guilt pounded through me.

A sob echoed through the toilets and I checked very single cubicle until I reached the locked one. Gently I knocked the door, "Lily?" I asked.

"Vienna, it's you..." The voice trailed off.
It wasn't Lily's voice, but goodness knows who.
"It's Maddy." The voice sniffled as the cubicle door unlocked.
"What are you doing in here?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

She shakily brand her left arm forward, where she displayed a long, open wound from below her shoulder to her wrist. I gagged inside my mouth as blood fell to the tiled floor.
"What?-" I couldn't even continue.

"I- um fell," she her voice was becoming fainter.
"On what? A shredder?" Sarcasm would not help this situation.

I rubbed my face with my hand and my brain stopped working. How did she do this? "Maddy." I continuously tapped her, desperately hoping that if I did she would be physically able to explain, "it's very important that you tell me what has happened to you."

I sat her down on the floor and pressed down the tap, water gushed out and into my cupped hands. I threw the water onto her head. She opened her eyes a little more, so I did it again. "What happened Maddy, please tell me, time is running out." I begged.

"They lead me to the thing teachers cut lots of paper at the same time with." Her description was extremely vague, but I understood, "they told me to close my eyes, I don't know why I did. They shoved my arm under it and-"

Maddy began sliding, until she was lying on the floor, her eyes closed and her body was limp and heavy. I tried, I tried my hardest to pull her back up. Tears flowed from my eyes.

"Somebody!" I screamed, "somebody help me!.."

I wanted to save her, but I was helpless.

It's Liv,
I bet Vienna kind of wishes she never went to the toilet now...
Comment who you think cut up Maddy's arm and what you think is going to happen. I'd love to know what you think! Also comment where you think Lily went (oops forgot about her!).
