So now this mysterious blackmailer had my phone number - brilliant. How, I was unsure of, but they did. Therefore that was my own problem, to deal with, alone. I couldn't tell anyone, because secrets I don't know of myself, will be revealed. By the sound of it old Vienna was pretty horrible and that could mean she could've done anything.
I sighed and excused myself from the table. I strode into the empty restaurant toilets and splashes water upon my face. Was this really happening? Was I actually still in the hospital in a coma and imagining this whole thing?
A thousand questions swirled round my head. By this time my face was drenched in icy water. I wiped the solution off my face and threw the scrunched up tissue into the toilet.
I had to sit with my family and eat the meal, it'd be rude not to and food is great. I felt uncomfortable and insecure, 'Nat' could be inside the restaurant, watching me from the table in the corner, waiting for me to slip up.
They had defiantly achieved what they wanted to, I was terrified. I stood around in the bathrooms, wasting time. Washing my hands, scrunching up toilet roll and throwing it into the loo, staring into the mirror, examining my appearance, fixing my hair... The list continued, until I ran out of ideas.
Stalling, I pulled out my phone and sent a text to Adria:
'Is the food there yet? Not feeling to great.'Quickly my phone pinged.
'Should be here in a couple of minutes, what are you doing in there? My conclusion is you feel ill because you're hungry.'I replied.
'Okay, I'll be out soon.'My phone went off again, the small bathroom showered with echoes as the ringtone played. I didn't expect her to reply to that. But it wasn't her...
'You can't hide in the bathroom forever,
Your food is arriving,
It'd be rude to not eat with your family,
Or are you as rude as the old Vienna?
Until next time,
Nat.'
