When He's Goes On An Expedition

"Attention!!"

All the cadets (excluding myself) stand before the commander of the Survey Corp, Erwin Smith, as he got everyone's attention and began to remain calm while the rest of the higher ups (that includes Hanji and my husband, Levi) just stood at his right and look at everyone.

"As you all may already know, today is the day of our latest expedition, right? So, I want you all to be prepared and focused on battle for the sake of humanity, clear?", said Erwin intently.

"Yes, sir!", all of them said in unison with determination.

"Good. We'll be leaving the headquarters in a few minutes so get your horses and gear now and don't waste anymore time...", said Erwin as he continued, "So, please proceed, cadets".

They saluted again and all of them were dismissed before they could head towards the stables to get their own horses while the rest get their 3D maneuver gear inside the headquarters.

I, on the other hand, was just watching them from afar while holding a pregnancy book on my hand and one by one, the cadets were able to greet me while some even saluted with a smile before every single one of them were gone in the meeting grounds except the highers (they're just having a small chat actually).

I wished all of them good luck with a bright smile since I can't slay titans for a while and other than that, I'm having a few back pains which is totally not my day at all but I did get some relaxing massages from Levi though.

Just when I was about to head inside the headquarters, I felt a hand over my shoulder making me stop on my tracks.

I turned around and saw Levi right in front of me with his usual stoic expression written on his handsome face but I could see a smile forming on his lips just for me to see it.

"L-Levi!!", I stuttered with surprise and a blush was able to appear on my cheeks.

"Hey, love. I didn't know you were here. Were you watching the meeting the whole time again?", he asked as he stroked my hair.

"Um...yeah? Haha, sorry I couldn't help myself. I just got bored that's all..., I replied and sighed to myself, "Although, I will get even bored when you're not around or by my side".

Levi seemed to notice my expression which is a mixture of concern, a bit of loneliness and boredom and he can't help but sigh deeply just by looking at me.

"Tch, yeah. But, I'll be honest here, like really honest. I really do miss seeing you during the battlefield. I mean, you're always by my side fighting against the titans throughout the expedition but now, I can't seem to experience that moment with you since you have our child inside you", said Levi and decided to give me a warm hug as he wrapped his arms around me.

I smiled as I felt his warmth as I wrapped my arms around him in return and I began to receive warm and sweet kisses from him.

"Yeah, you're right but please do take care out there in the battlefield, Levi. Even though I won't be out there fighting with you, just remember that I always love you so much from the bottom of my heart, okay?", I said and gave him a reassuring smile.

Levi ruffled my hair as he smiled back while nodding just to answer me before he could pull me into a passionate kiss that actually lasted three to five minutes.

"Tch, I'm already starting to miss you but I'll keep your word for it. I'll be sure to fight with my comrades and lead to victory without any regrets and...", he said as he stopped for moment and placed his forehead over mine.

"I love you too, (Y/N)", Levi said in a soft tone but also in a loving way as he gently pecked my lips with his, "Once I return, we'll have the whole evening to ourselves and I'll bring you something to eat too while I'm at it. How's that sound?".

I nodded with delight before I could actually say anything, Moblit interrupted our moment when he said it's time to leave.

"Well, looks like I should take my leave now, love", said Levi as he sighed then he turned to my stomach with a small smile and placed kisses all over, "Oh, and see you then, son/daughter".

With that, Levi kissed me one more time before he could leave the headquarters while I head back inside to drink some tea and continue reading the book I was holding so I could at least do something before he gets back.
