When You're Insecure About Your Weight

It's been a couple of weeks since I gave birth to cute and precious twins which are named Isabelle and Leon. The news about their birth was able to spread around like crazy inside and outside the headquarters and every cadet, superior (higher ups) and others were able to congratulated me and Levi.

But, after going through my months of pregnancy, I had a small problem and it's been bothering me for a while now.

So, here's how it goes.

It's a weekday and I'm still on leave from my duties as a soldier but for some reason, I don't know if I would continue being a soldier just to fight for humanity. So, I decided to let that thought slide first since it may be a distraction and visit my two children (who are now inside their very own room beside our office that Levi and I shared which is provided and prepared by Hanji and my other female friends).

I was about to leave the bedroom until I stopped when I felt like I need to use the toilet so I decided to head towards the restroom real quick.

But when I entered the restroom, I saw myself in the mirror and my expression fell as I examined myself from top to bottom when my thoughts started compiling together.

Lately, people were looking at me, especially the women who are keeping their eyes on my husband, and they exchanged each other's words for some reason as they observed the both of us and for some reason, it got me distracted for the past few days afterwards.

And that got me thinking, maybe they were thinking that I gained a bit of weight and that notion was bringing me down.

Was it because I was craving food that much? 

Thoughts were rambling my head and tears were able to flow on my cheeks slowly but my moment of feels were interrupted when I heard someone calling my name and that voice really got my attention.

I turned around and saw Levi leaning against the door with his white unbottoned polo shirt and pants.

I gasped when our eyes met so I turned real quick just to adjust myself since I still have 'something' on my eye but I failed to do so when he grabbed both of my shoulders just to make me not turn around at all.

I looked to see his handsome face and his bluish gray eyes that were really mesmerizing and I tried to shake off the feeling that I had just now.

"Oi, are feeling alright, love?", he finally spoke but in a soft way apparently since he witnessed me sobbing slowly.

"E-Eh?", I replied quickly and tried to smile just to hide my expression from a few moments ago, "W-What do you mean, Levi? H-Hahaha...".

From that reply, Levi narrowed his eyes suspicious and just by looking at his expression that he's giving me right now, I think he just read my mind.

"Tch, don't hide it. I can see it in your eyes, love. There's definitely something wrong with you and since I'm your husband, I'll always stay beside you and help you with your problems in any way I can", said Levi and gently wrapped his arms around my waist.

I gasped and gently pecked my lips with his soft ones but I kissed back in no time at all. Our foreheads touched when he let go of the kiss and his eyes soften as he stared at me.

I sighed as I thought to myself that I had no choice but give in now.

"Levi...I...do you...uh...", I said but I was lost in words as my voice trailed and Levi seemed to listen to me carefully as I spoke.

"Yes?", he asked and kissed my forehead gently.

I gulped as I tried to collect my words again before I get a chance to speak.

"Do I look like I've gained weight?", I asked in a small tone as I slightly looked down with embarrassment. 

Levi raised a brow and almost looked serious or surprised.

"Huh? Oi, what are you talking about? Why are calling yourself fat all of a sudden-", said Levi but he stopped when he finally realized something.

He sighed deeply and lightly shook his head before lifting my chin with his finger.

"Hmph. I see now. No wonder you didn't eat much today during lunch time which all makes sense. But still, why would you think so, huh? What gave you that idea?", said Levi with curiosity.

I sighed and decided to tell Levi the whole story which he nodded through every sentence and word I say.

Then after all the talking with a bit of tears in the way, Levi clicked his tongue and sighed heavily before he pulled me into a hug.

"Let's get straight to the point, alright? Don't mind those people because in my eyes you're beautiful and your body looks fine just the way it is in my point of view. I think it's just they're imagination or maybe it's just you? So, there's no need to be so worked up, you got that?", said Levi seriously with his monotone voice and wiped my tears gently with both of his thumbs.

He cupped my face and pulled me into a kiss then while kissing he gently stroked my curves and it almost my heart explode.

"Not only you're beautiful but sexy too while I'm at it", he commented as he gently licked my lips which made my face go red.

I nodded quickly with my red beat face while I kissed him back and all my worries were fading slowly but surely.

Just when our kissing session was about to get hot and heavy, we heard crying from the other room and that could only mean one thing.

"Isabelle and Leon!", I said as I started to panic, "I was suppose to visit them real quick just to check on them but my worries were getting in my way, agh!".

I was about to run towards the door until Levi grabbed my hand and said, "Hey, don't forget about me, (Y/N). As a father, it's also my responsibility to check on them".

I smiled widely from his words and with that, both of us left the office and checked Isabelle and Leon and when we arrived there eventually, it turns out that they wanted our presence and a bottle of milk.
