When You Impress Him

(A/N: Hello everyone! It's MegaBlazethecat here! Yes, I know, a very late update. Sorry if I wasn't able to update for a few months because some stuff came up and I had to do something about it: aka my schedule (which is now more hectic than before) and other important and personal things. Also, ideas weren't coming in my head which is another reason why I haven't updated in a while so I hope you understand. Anyways, it looks like my book is close to 3M already so hopefully when it reaches that number I will make a 3M special (but I still have no idea what to write about for it haha). So, once again, I would like to thank each and everyone of you for reading my book. "Alright, everyone!! Let's slice and dice these titans shall we?"

You heard one of your comrades exclaiming with excitement during our combat and it has been going for almost two hours.

Our mission for today is to retrieve materials outside the walls but as always, we encountered another herd of titans along the way.

"Tch, we need to separate ourselves", said Levi as he shifted his 3DMG to another direction in order for him to make the perfect moment to slice the titan's nape, "I need at least 10 cadets to find the specified materials we need. Go now! Let's not waste our time just to kill these titans!".

The cadets followed his order immediately and they were able to make themselves leave the area like they're having an adrenaline rush.

As much as I wanted to go with the cadets – since it's a bit safer that way, I wanted to help my husband on fighting these titans and I'm sure he would really want me to stay by his side.

From left to right, I sliced each of the titans napes without a problem but unfortunately, after all of that I felt a bit tired so I had to rest somewhere for a few minutes.

"Dammit", I said and was able to catch my breath.

Eren found me resting against the big tree bark and decided to approach me to see if I'm alright.

"You alright?",Eren asked with concern.

"Yeah, haha", I said and wiped my sweat with a handkerchief that Levi gave me before as a gift, "I'm just tired from all the slicing".

Eren only nodded and out of nowhere he asked me something that I haven't thought about for a while now.

"Say, speaking of slicing, do you have any other techniques when you kill titans, (Y/N)?", Eren questioned me – looking a bit curious.

"Eh?", I murmured and coughed a bit, "Now that you mentioned it, I did come up with a technique last week while we're training with our 3DMG. I'm just not sure if it would be very effective".

"Eh? Really?", Eren said with surprise, "You should try it!".

I wasn't sure on how to answer his suggestion but that was when he said this.

"It would be really great to try it during combat. Who knows? Maybe it will impress the corporal even"

Impress?

That word gave me an idea so I turned to Eren and gave him a thumbs up.

"Thank you for the suggestion, Eren. I guess it won't hurt to give it a try"

With that, I patted Eren's back and without hesitation, I went back to battle leaving Eren shocked.

"H-Hey, for real? Wait up! I can't miss this!" 

When I finally got back in the battlefield, the remaining cadets are still slicing the napes of titans and I tried looking around if I could find at least one titan to kill.

After a bit searching around, I found two titans just walking towards the other cadets who are fighting. 

I lips curled into a playful smile and decided to blast off with my 3DMG towards my targets.

'I hope this works...'

After two spins (take note: the way you are spinning is like you're drilling) using my 3DMG, I finally reach my targets and used a homing attack for each with a swing of my blades (Sorry, I couldn't think of anything but this haha xD. If you get this attack reference then you get a cookie~! :3).

After killing them, I got a bit exhausted from how much stamina I used but it looks like my technique was used well. 

Although, the only disadvantage about this technique is that I need to be extra careful when I hold my blades. One wrong way of holding it could get you injured.

"I did it...", I said to myself and wiped my sweat.

When I decided to rest by the tree branch while thinking if I should use that technique again, a certain someone was calling my name which made me smile widely.

I looked back and saw Levi making his way towards me while slicing some titans without a problem.

He landed on the tree branch that I was resting and kissed my forehead.

"Wow, that technique of yours is really something. How come you never showed it me during training?", said Levi as he placed his hand over his hip while wiping his sweat.

I laughed awkwardly and said, "Well, um, I wanted to...impress you? Hahaha"

He shook his head and brought me closer to him with his arm around my waist before kissing my lips.

"You're already impressive, (Y/N)", Levi complimented me and brush away the dust from my hair, "You impress me everyday but I do appreciate the show that you put on back there in the battlefield. It made me more impressed than before".

"Levi...", I said with excitement as my eyes started to sparkle.

"But that technique of your's can be quite risky so be careful when you use it okay?", Levi advised me, "I don't want you to get heavily wounded"

I just nodded at his advice with a smile and before I could proceed back to the battlefield, I stopped myself when I saw him looking at me in a way that I'm not done conversing with him.

"Do you have anything else to show me, love? Who knows, you might have more on your sleeves", Levi said with a smirk.

My eyes widened a slight second but I replied with a teasing tone and a quirky smile. "Nope, sorry. I guess you have to look forward to next week's training for that, haha".

He chuckled at my response but almost looked disappointed and said, "Alright, noted but I'm going to watch you on that day".

"Eh? What about the element of surprise?", I said before getting ready to fly off with Levi.

"Forget the element of surprise. I just want to see my wife improving and...impressing me", he said and kissed the top of my head.
