Chapter 14
Normal"You shopped a lot, Blair." puna ni Mommy nang magkita-kita kami sa harap ng Wolfgang's.
My hands were full of paper bags with clothes worth ten thousand pesos. Nag-away pa nga kami ulit ni Gael because he wanted to pay for everything that I bought but of course, he didn't win.
I also didn't let him. I won every fight that happened earlier. He will never win when it comes to me.
"I also bought some for you and Ida, Mom." I told her. "Para naman po may dalin kayong galing sa akin pag-alis niyo."
"Well, that's very thoughtful of you, my dear. Thank you." My mom smiled at me genuinely as she thanked me.
"That's a lot of paperbags, Blair." biglang pagsingit ni Daddy at nilingon si Gael. "Why don't you help her carry some, Gael?"
"I already did offer, Tito but she insisted to carry all of it. I don't want to argue anymore so... I just let her be." Gael shrugged his shoulders.
Let her be? Let her be my ass.
He kept on asking me every step we took if he could carry a bag or two just to help me carry these paper bags on the way here. He's really annoying. It was amazing on how I was able to put up with him.
"What can I say... My daughter really likes to be independent." Dad chuckled.
I almost rolled my eyes. You don't even know me that well, Dad. How will you know?
"Sir, your table's ready."
Finally! I'm already hungry.
"Oh. Okay." sabi ni Daddy at mabilis na hinawakan ang kamay ni Mommy upang sumabay sa kaniya sa pagsunod.
Gael moved to get the paperbags from me again but I immediately dodged him and went inside Wolfgang's.
A waiter offered me that he's willing to carry the paperbags for me but I just kindly refused him with a smile.
I know that they're just trying to be a gentleman or trying to execute chivalry and that it is a part of their work but not all girls needed help when it comes to these things.
"What do you want to eat, Blair?" Dad asked me as soon as I started reading the menu.
I pouted and glanced at the menu. What to eat for today's dinner hmm?
"Potterhouse steak, lamb chops, steak fries and oh! I also want the seafood platter. And for my drink, water is fine." I smiled at the waiter who's taking and put the menu down.
"How 'bout you, Gael?" pagbaling ni Daddy kay Gael.
"Fillet mignon and jumbo shrimp cocktail, Tito. Water is also fine." nakangiting sabi ni Gael.
"Don't you like to try their potterhouse steak? Blair always have it when she's eating here, right, Blair?" sabi ni Mommy sa akin.
"Yes, Mom." I smiled at Mommy and looked at Gael. "Umorder ka na ng sa'yo. Hindi kita papatikimin ng akin."
The smallest order of potterhouse steak here at Wolfgang's is good for two persons but I will not share mine with him.
Gael chuckled. "Then I'll get that one instead of fillet mignon, Tita, Tito. Okay lang po ba?"
"Of course, Gael. Kahit anong gusto mo." sabi ni Daddy sa kaniya.
I really hate it! What's with Gael and why's it like Dad's willing to give everything that he wants?!
