Chapter 36
Doorbell"You should have called me when Kuya Isaiah visited earlier.
They just got home after five hours of being away. He bought her a new dress and stilettos. Plus a new Dior five-colour palette of eyeshadows. Not just one, but two.
Well, I can't complain since she's his sister. But she could've saved the other things she likes to buy for next time.
"I don't think that it's time for Gael and Isaiah to meet each other again, Ida." sabi ko naman. Isaiah's still furious about what happened last night. I can see how he loathes Gael.
"Then what did he tell you earlier?" bigla namang tanong ni Ida.
"He already knew that you're staying here. He also told me why he's very angry at Gael and I'm sorry cause it's really because of me. Maybe before, he has other reasons pero ngayon, ako talaga ang dahilan." sunod-sunod kong sabi.
"Blair, you're not the one to blame." Ida pointed out. "It's just that Kuya's too stubborn to understand. If you'll ask me, I'll say that he's a bratty and spoiled kid.
"If only I knew that it would get this complicated then I would've thought harder about my decisions." sabi ko at saka huminga ng malalim.
"Don't you dare leave Kuya Gael for Kuya Isaiah and our family, Blair. Pero pag iniwan mo ngayon si Gael para lang samin, I swear, I won't forgive you for hurting both of my brothers." she warned me. "This is our family's problem. You don't have to meddle with it."
"Ida, I'm the reason why Isaiah's keeping himself from—"
"Just don't, Blair." mas mariin niyang sabi. "This is our family's problem. This has nothing to do with you. Problema na ni Kuya yun if he will still keep on being stubborn. You already did your best to talk things with him. You don't have to sacrifice anything for our family. Especially, not my brother."
I was preoccupied with the thoughts of distancing myself to Gael for a few weeks or months to fix what he has to fix between his family. But I don't want to lose him too and also, Ida. I know that she's serious when she stated those words.
"What do you two want for lunch?
Well, he is Gael's bestfriend afterall.
"Hmm... Just order anything for me, but I want iced tea for my drink." nakangiting sabi ko kay Gael.
She looks so happy while holding his brother's arm.
"I'll come with you!
