"I'm really sorry for the way my sister acted today." Gael apologized when we arrived at our house after we ate dinner.

The dinner was simply awkward dahil halos si Gael lang at Genie ang nag-uusap. Genie never let Gael and me have a conversation for at least a minute. Dinaig pa namin ang may kasamang timer ni Gael.

How am I suppose to get to know him if I can't talk to him or ask him about himself?

Mabuti na nga lang at nanang ihatid sa kanilang bahay ang kaniyang kapatid dahil kanina pa pala siya hinihintay ng kaniyang tutor. Dapat ay kaninang hapon pa ang tutor niya pero ni-reschedule ito ni Gael ng 7PM.

I didn't know that their family has two houses here in Manila. Their main house is under renovation kaya doon siya ngayon sa condo niya umuuwi habang ang kapatid niya naman ay doon sa isang bahay. He usually comes home to check on his sister pagkatapos ay babalik siya sa condo niya dahil ayaw niya doong matulog for no apparent reason.

"I assure you that she's not usually like that. She's a sweet and loving girl if you get close to her." pilit niyang pagbabago sa aking pananaw patungkol sa kaniyang kapatid.

"Okay, whatever." sabi ko nalang at saka kinalas ang seatbelt na nakahapit sa akin. "I'm going in now. Thank you for today."

Papalabas na ako ng kaniyang sasakyan nang pigilan niya ako sa pamamagitan ng paghawak sa aking braso.

"What, now?" I asked him, slightly irritated before I turned around to look at him again.

"Do you really wanna go home now?" paninigurado niya sa akin at tila tinatantiya ang aking magiging sagot.

"If we're just going to your house to hang out then, no thanks! Let's just meet at school. I think it's better that way." sabi ko nalang.

I was about to go out of the car again when he started the engine. It made me look at him. Wala na akong nagawa nang pinatakbo na niya ang kaniyang sasakyan. Tinignan ko naman sa side mirror ang aming bahay at nakita kong papalayo kami ng papalayo rito hanggang sa lumiko na kami palabas ng subdivision.

"I swear, Gael! I will take a cab home if we'll end up at your house where your evil little sister is." pagbabanta ko naman sa kaniya.

He chuckled. "Trust me." he said. "You won't take a cab home."

I rolled my eyes at him and leaned back before I crossed my arms.

"Just tell me where we're going."I demanded.

"In my condo." sabi niya.

Napatahimik naman ako at ang daming pumasok sa aking isipan na maaari naming gawin sa loob ng kaniyang condo. I'm not naive nor innocent. I know most of the guys invite girls to their place just to wreck them and pleasure themselves. But I'm not that kind of girl.

My first visit to his condo is understandable because I took care of him. Ngayon ay ibang usapan na ito.

"Just to clear your thoughts, where not going inside my unit." pahabol naman niya.

Agad na nabura ang maling pag-iisip na nabuo sa aking isipan at inisip.

"Or maybe we will go inside just to get a few things tapos lalabas din tayo agad." sabi niya sakin.

"And then what? We will got to your house afterwards?"

I can't hide the bitterness in my voice everytime I remember his sister. She's just really too much to take.

"Do you really wanna go to our house?" he joking asked, but I took it seriously of course.

"Are you kidding me?" nakataas-kilay kong tanong sa kaniya.
