Chapter 19
Batch"Where are you going?" Mommy asked when she called to tell me that she deposited my allowance for a month and asked me what I'm doing.
"A concert." I simply answered.
"Whose concert is that?" she asked again.
"New Classic.
"Oh..." she sounded excited too. "Will you video some of their performances for me? I bet they're great."
I can see that she's really supporting me with Isaiah.
I'm glad that my mom's sensitive enough to know what I feel, unlike my father who just keeps on persisting me with what he wants to happen... what he wants me to do.
"Yes, Mom... They're great." sabi ko naman. "How's Dad?" I asked her.
"Oh! He's doing great but he has a case na kailangan niya talagang tutukan ng todo kaya minsan ay nag-oovernight siya sa firm. I'm actually concerned with your father's health pero kapag nandito naman siya sa bahay, he looks cheerful and healthy kaya hindi ko rin masabi. Your father's good at hiding you know." sabay tawa ni Mommy.
I rarely ask about my dad, and if I do, Mom's very thrilled about it.
"Hmm... That's good." sabi ko nalang. "Anyway, Mom, I have to go now. There'll be a meet and greet earlier than the time of the concert.
"Okay! No problem, sweetie. Be careful driving and enjoy the concert, okay?" malambing na sabi sa akin ni Mommy.
"Thanks, Mom. I surely will." sabi ko naman.
"I'll call you again soon. Bye."
I even made sure that the ticket and backstage pass was in my bag before I decided to finally go.
When I arrived at the venue, I grabbed my phone inside my bag to call Ida and tell her that I'm already here.
Gael:
See you later. I'll be waiting for you.
"This day is Isaiah's day, Blair. This is his day.
"Are you wearing an a white tee?" tanong ko nang may matanaw akong kahawig ng kaniyang pigura, ngunit nakatalikod ito kaya hindi ko rin masigurado.
"Yes, I am. Nakikita mo ba ako?" she asked. "I'm going to raise my hand and wave. Try to spot me." dagdag pa niya.
Stay there.
