"Hello, Mom?" pagsagot ko ng tawag ni Mommy at ni-loudspeaker ko dahil nag-aayos ako ng sarili bago pumunta sa school.

My first class should be at noon pero may assembly'ng gagawin ang department namin in the morning and it's mandatory.

"Sorry, Blair, did I wake you up?" she cautiously asked.

"No, Mom. I'm already preparing for school. Kanina pa po ako gising." sabi ko naman.

"Oh... I thought I woke you up." she said and chuckled.

Napangiti naman ako. "You seem to be happy today, Mom." pagpuna ko.

"It's because your Dad just got home and he told me that we will be flying to Hawaii the day after tomorrow. He already booked our flight before he went to his business trip." kwento ni Mommy. "He told me that he feels sorry na hindi niya ako sinama sa business trip niya at babawi siya sa akin. We will be there for three days and I'm so excited. Wala akong mapagsabihan kung gaano ako ka-excited that's why I called you."

Will I be like my mom someday? Who's apparently head over heels to her husband which is my father... I just can't imagine myself being like her.

I actually think that I got my personality from my father who's very firm with his decision. He's also not that easy to waver and not easy to please.

"See, Mom? I told you. You don't have to worry." sabi ko. "I can clearly see and feel that Daddy loves you so much."

I heard Mom sighed. "If only you can come with us to Hawaii then it'll be great." she suddenly said. "Next time, I'll arrange a family trip for us three. Where do you want to go? Europe? Somewhere in Asia? States?"

I can sense that Mom's very eager to hold this family trip that she wants to plan. I also want it but I don't want to get my hopes high.

My Dad's a very busy man. Hindi siya pwedeng masiyadong magpakalayo-layo at maalis ang atensyon sa trabaho niya ng matagal. Kahit nga nandito siya sa Pilipinas ay pinag-aaralan niya pa rin ng mabuti ang mga kasong hawak niya. He can only give my Mom three days of alone time with him kahit na isang linggo siyang nawala.

I doubt that this family trip will be able to happen. They can't even come home here for me. Uuwi lang sila kapag may importanteng kailangang gawin o bisitahin dito, and unfornately, I'm not included in those important persons that they visit.

"Mom, kahit sa Pilipinas lang po, ayos na basta kasama kayong dalawa ni Daddy." sabi ko naman.

Kahit nga nandito lang kami sa bahay basta nagbo-bonding kaming talo ay okay na sa akin. I don't need to go to extravagant places around the world to have a so called bonding moment with my family. Hindi naman doon nasusukat 'yon.

"Hmm... I'll search for an island resort in the Philippines. Yung tahimik para makakapagrelax ang Daddy mo sa sobrang stress dahil sa mga kasong hawak niya." sabi ni Mommy. "How about after your graduation para celebration na rin sa graduation mo?"

Napangiti naman ako't lumayo na sa tukador. Kinuha ko na ang aking bag at sinukbit ito sa aking balikat saka lumabas ng kwarto.

"That's fine with me, Mom." sabi ko.

I almost tripped at the last three steps of the stairs when I saw Gael sitting comfortably on the couch while drinking a juice.

What the hell is he doing here?

Mukhang napansin niya ata ang aking presensya kaya nag-angat siya ng tingin sa akin bago ibinaba ang orange juice sa may center table.

"Uhm... Mom, I'm gonna call you back or just call me again. I have to go to school now." paalam ko bigla kay Mommy.
