Ringleader's P.O.V.
I looked to the school and saw that it was completely overrun. There was no possible way of saving everyone. I was about to keep walking when I saw Jorge climbing over the fence followed by Larry, then Emma. Malisson reluctantly began to climb. Are you kidding me. I sighed and climbed over the fence as well. We all headed towards where we heard the scream. Then I stopped everyone. I spoke quietly. "First we gotta save the younger kids." Everyone nodded as we headed for the preschoolers and kindergarteners.
We ran straight through the playground of raised. And headed right into the hallway. We shut the large doors behind us and looked down the hall. A few classrooms were open. We cautiously walked up to the opened classrooms to be met with a horrific sight of dead children littering the floor. Guts were spilled everywhere and the rooms were all dyed red. Jorge tried his best not to gag while Malisson just stared. The only classroom who's door wasn't opened was my favorite kindergarten teacher's room. I managed to get the others to gather around the room. "Wait here, I'm going to the other side of the room to make sure their safe." I spoke in a hushed voice. Emma grabbed my arm and spoke. "I'm going with you." I nodded as we went back to the hall doors.
I opened a door and we rushed out. Emma shut the door as soon as we were out. Some raised had gathered around the area. Some were too close for comfort. When they heard the door shut they turned and looked at us. They looked so young, like they had just turned. A small girl limped towards me, emitting a low growl from the very core of her being. I kicked her away then took off running with Emma by my side. We reached the other side of the classroom and saw that it was closed. There was a gate that separated the back of the classrooms from the playground. We immediately shut it and blocked it with a bike rack. We race to the door and tried it. Locked. I knocked and called out to whoever was in there. "Is anyone there? Please open the door!" I heard soft footsteps then I saw the window drapes being pulled. The room was dark. The drapes shut and I heard more footsteps.
The door slowly opened as I saw the teacher wave us in. We quickly walked in. He shut the door behind us an locked it. I stood still as I shut my eyes for about 20 seconds then opened them. My eyes had adjusted to the darkness. I saw the whole class huddled into a corner as far away from the door as possible. They even turned off the light in the fish tank. The teacher put a hand on each of our shoulders and spoke lowly. "Thank goodness you two are okay." I nodded then headed over to the other door. I unlocked it and opened the door to let the others in. They rushed in and when they all entered I shut and locked the door. The teacher was surprised to see so many students. "There are still more of us but they are not here yet." I explained. The teacher nodded.
-Le time skip of me explaining that they have to leave the school to find a safer place-
"I have an idea of where we can go, but it's too risky." The teacher spoke. "We can protect you guys until you teach your destination." Emma said. "Really?! Thank you all so much!" The teacher praised us. We discussed the idea of where he wanted to take the students. When we got everything set we took off.
-Le another time skip of our epic not so epic mission-
Somehow we managed to get every single child to safety in the class. The place wasn't too far so it was simple. After we were done we headed back to the school. It looked like most of the classes either tried to leave or died. We then reached the junior high section. We saw that our final period was abandoned. Not a single dead body, that's good I guess. We made our way to our second period. The door was slightly opened. I peeked in to see that this class was empty too. I sighed and turned around to find everyone fighting off some raised. I sighed again as I ran up to help them. After we disposed all of the raised in the area we headed towards our first period class. Nobody. We then went to our third period class. Still no sign of life. We finally went to the class closest to the fence. The door was locked. So I tried the window. It opened easily. I looked in to see a terrified group of 8th graders and 7th graders. A lot were missing, probably dead. I sighed and hopped into the class, preparing to go on another mission.
-Le time skip of an hour or two of saving all the students-
After we were done we finally started to head to the park again. We walked slowly as we were already tired from rescuing all those chickens. We made it to the park without seeing a single raised surprisingly. When we got there the park was empty of people. We walked up to the playground to rest on the play set. We took turns for watches. I took first watch. After about 30 minutes I woke up Emma for her to take second watch. I fell asleep immediately.
My dream was pretty weird. I saw myself tied up on a chair. I was gagged and blindfolded. I heard a large metal door open and close, then I heard large footsteps approach me. I fought against my restraints as the footsteps grew closer. They stop right in front of me. I kept trying to brake free. I then felt a cold sting on my left cheek as I realized I was punched. My movements stopped. The person laughed and continued to punch my face and gut repeatedly. I remember tasting blood after to fifth punch. My hands were tied behind the chair. I felt something in my hand. It was a pocket knife. I started to saw at the rope while the sadistic b**ch continued to whale on me with a frenzy of punches. Once the rope was cut I immediately sprung forward catching the person off guard. I landed on top of them and began to choke the hell out of them. I dug my thumbs into their neck as I held them down with my body weight. They were coughing and hacking, desperately trying to get some oxygen into their burning lungs. I felt them struggle under my grasp. Somehow that made me feel good inside. I pressed down on their neck harder. They were clawing at my hands hoping it would make me loosen up or let go. I decided to tease them. Still blind and mute from the gag and blindfold I loosen a bit. They gasp for air. I smile wickedly and tighten my hold even harder than before. They choke out cries of pain. I feel a warm liquid pool at my hands. It's either blood or drool or both. I had enough fun as I crush their neck. I hear a satisfying pop and crack as the person goes limp. I remove my hands from their neck and take off the blindfold and gag. When I look at the person I wasn't surprised that I already knew them. It was Brandon. I smile to myself clearly satisfied by my work. I woke up.
